Meet LaNise Thrasher | Life Coach, Author and Speaker

We had the good fortune of connecting with LaNise Thrasher and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi LaNise, what do you attribute your success to?
My brand is The Love Cheerleader® and the most important factor behind my brand’s success is the authentic and unfiltered relatability that I bring since I went through my own divorce healing journey. As an Author, Speaker and Certified Life Coach, I now guide other women through that healing process – but I didn’t always have the answers. After my marriage ended, I clung to my faith in God while I rebuilt my self worth despite feelings of embarrassment, shame and confusion.
For two transformative years, I pieced my life back together through a process of dismantling old narratives and redefining me. God lit the way, but I put one foot in front of the other even when I couldn’t see. God redeemed my pain into a greater purpose.
When I coach women, I don’t sugarcoat the road ahead for the women. Instead I sit with them in the ashes, getting gritty and real about the work ahead. My brand succeeds because I speak from reality but also giving hope to what can become.  And if I can come out the other side renewed, I want to take their hand and say “Just keep walking. Joy waits for you.” My story is about stepping into freedom even after part of your old life goes up in smoke. That raw honesty and resilience resonates.

What should our readers know about your business?
What sets me apart is that I am teaching women how to heal from a faith based perspective and using my personal divorce recovery journey. In my journey as a woman who witnessed my own rebirth from the ruins of divorce’s aftermath, I know intimately the challenges facing other heartbroken souls navigating rebuilding. And I create customized roadmaps to each woman’s specific journey so they heal mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
Where I am today in business did not come without challenges. The first challenge was taking risks to try something new when doubt was ringing loud. But the minute I stepped out on faith knowing that God gave me this assignment, it has been the most fulfilling journey ever. The biggest lesson I have learned is to pivot when necessary but do not give up.
I want the world to know that you don’t have to try to heal on your own another day. I would love to support you on your journey. I offer 1:1 guidance and virtual group coaching for anyone seeking sisterhood plus empowerment to transform heartbreak into wholeness through my Coaching Program called Conquer Heartbreak Academy and a book “We Broke Up, Now What? A 5 Day Guide to Not Losing Your Mind.”

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
When my best friend comes in town, I have an entire agenda of fun! On Friday, we would start with breakfast at Thumbs Up Diner to kick things off right! Then later that night, we would check out the High Museum’s lively Frequency Fridays with music and art. Saturday we’d walk the Atlanta Beltline and pop into some new restaurants to meet locals. Sunday evening we’d challenge each other to some friendly competition at Putt Shack. Finally Monday night we’d cheers an incredible week together at Barcelona Wine Bar’s Westside Ironworks location.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I dedicate this shoutout with deep gratitude to my community of family, friends, mentors, and my church who saw me, believed in me, prayed for me and supported me when I lost sight of my own strength. They saw how God was going to use my pain for something bigger with entrepreneurial endeavors so they pushed me through my darkest days. Their words of truth and compassion reminded me light still lived inside me and that I could stand tall again.
I dedicate this honor to my village of being my saving grace. When I was too discouraged to walk forward, their light guided me out of the valley of self-doubt back into God’s joyful purpose. Now I get to pay that cherished gift of restoration by leading more women out of darkness every day.
