We had the good fortune of connecting with Lamont Norris and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lamont, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
The most important lesson is that no one can do “it” whatever it is like you can do it. One should never let the idea of an inflated market overshadow your passions. When you start actively pursuing your passion obstacles may come but ideas that you can spin off on or connections that you need to take you to your next level are more prone to start making their way to you because you have started on a more clear and defined path. The more clear and defined your path is the more frequently everything you need to grow will find its way to you. So whatever it is to hell with the SWOT analysis just go for it with everything that you have within you.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I works is a creation made to give a unique platform for people to showcase their art and get paid. We have original programs and our own platform giving us the ability to dictate the outcome and not answer to another authority. It is all about ownership. We started off just with music and paper views for nationally known artists and now have developed into a full production platform with more to offer everyone. Time sacrifice and money and taking losses are what got me to where I am in business. You have to learn how to lose and fail forward. But after the failures, you must keep going which is what I have done over the years. I overcame the challenges by accepting the challenges no matter what you do you have to make a decision and stand by it.

lesson learned along the way. Never give anyone your ideas learn about intellectual property and how that works. be careful of your conversation because people can and will steal your ideas.. You give your power away sometimes by giving people your ideas but the good thing about it is that your ideas will not stop you just have to be careful going forward
we want the world to know that through it all we are here to stay and we are endeavoring to bring good tv back and invite other creatives to join us along the journey

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Phips plaza day one Lennox mall
the battery
and several upscale eateries
but every person would be different so that’s kind of a broad question for me
