We had the good fortune of connecting with Laketha Ashe and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Laketha, can you share the most important lesson you’ve learned over the course of your career?
“Trust in the Lord with all my heart. Lean not to my own understanding… and allow Him (God) to direct this path.”

A general lesson that I learned early on in business is Adaptability is crucial. Business constantly changes, and being able to adapt to new technologies, market trends, and customer needs is essential for long-term success. Most times being flexible and open to change you’re more likely to thrive in a dynamic and competitive environment.

However, one of the greatest lessons that I have carried throughout my business and career is, no matter the obstacle ahead, never tire of doing what’s right.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
At this point of my life, I would say that my brand, Justmyne, is what I’m most excited about. Justmyne, known for the unique and innovative designs. I developed a passion for fashion at a young age by way of a Home Economics class in Jr. High School. My love for creativity and attention to detail led me to pursue the fashion industry later in her adult life, which I’m proud to be showcasing my designs at New York Fashion Week February 2024.

Justmyne gained valuable experience working for various fashion enthusiasts and designers. This exposure allowed me to refine my skills and develop my own signature style.

Justmyne’s designs are characterized by their bold and vibrant colors, intricate patterns, and exquisite craftsmanship. I often draw inspiration from different cultures which is seen within much of her collections.

My designs have been showcased at numerous fashion shows and events, receiving critical acclaim for their originality and artistic vision. Justmyne’s creations have been featured in several fashion shows over the years.

I can’t say that it has been easy, but Justmyne’s dedication to my craft and commitment to sustainability have earned me a loyal following of fashion enthusiasts and industry professionals. I continue to push boundaries and challenge conventions, constantly striving to create designs that are both timeless and forward-thinking.

With my unique perspective and unwavering passion, Justmyne is set to make a lasting impact on the fashion industry and inspire future generations of designers.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I stay in Columbus, GA, and all honesty there isn’t much to do here. Many typically travel to Atlanta for entertainment. However, to have an enjoyable experience in Columbus, we would definitely have to visit MaBella’s for some great cuisine, walk the river walk/down town area, maybe experience zip lining, go to the strip mall to do a little shopping, hang out later that night at the Suite lounge, they have amazing entertainment.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
While there are several that I can go through and thank and attribute many successes to, recognition belongs to God first and foremost. He is the one that provided me with the amazing gift. Secondly recognition goes to my husband of 29 and 1/2 years, my three children, and especially my grandson. They are the motivation I need and they always continue to push me into next level. Justmyne will be their legacy; their inheritance.
