We had the good fortune of connecting with Lakeicha Goodrum and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lakeicha, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I’ve always had a passion for helping and serving others. When I was thinking about starting my business my thoughts were how I could use the skills I’ve learned throughout my career to help others in reaching their goals and being a resource in specialized services. I also wanted to ensure the business aligned not only with my passion but also with my belief, as my values serves as a complement to the quality of services offered.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My business is a one stop shop for most business needs. It is a business that strives on customer satisfaction. We specialize in individual and small business tax preparation, payroll services, new business startup support for rising entrepreneurs, notary, printing and fax service center. We respect and value the trust of each client and work equally hard to ensure their experience is one that is positive. The road hasn’t always been easy. Venturing out to start your own business comes with a wealth of unknowns, financial burdens and emotional stress. Having a good support system has been key for me. I am still thriving in my business because of this support pushing me when I felt like quitting at times. I have learned to capitalize on what’s going good and to take advantage of every positive opportunity to keep your brand relevant and in the face of the people.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
So of the things we would definitely have to try would be visiting the Breakfast Bar for brunch. Visiting and worshipping at the historic Ebenezer Baptist Church, tour the World of Coke and visiting Tyler Perry Studios.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My success would still be a mere dream it was not for my family. My family has been my support system through the ups and downs they’ve always pushed me to keep going. In addition to my family, there are special people in my life that I admire and has and continues to shape my life, Mr. Curtis Gay has been a tremendous influencer for me, his genuine truth and transparency pushes me to always strive to learn, be strong and consistent, and for this I am grateful.
