We had the good fortune of connecting with Lafayette James and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lafayette, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Starting my own business was a decision born out of a deep desire for freedom and autonomy. Traditional workplaces felt confining and the rigid routines had limitations on my creativity.

I recognized my talent in operating a camera during college and my natural desire to help people, and I saw entrepreneurship as the perfect avenue to blend these skills and passions. I had this vision of success, not just in terms of financial gain, but in the freedom to travel, explore, and make a meaningful impact on the world.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Moolou Vision is all about helping small businesses and nonprofits shine on social media. We get that sometimes one video just isn’t enough to get your message across. That’s why we’re all about shooting a bunch of content in one go, so you’ve got a whole library of stuff ready to go for your campaigns.

I’m excited about hitting our 10-year mark in business. You hear all these stats about how most small businesses don’t make it past the first few years, so beating those odds feel great. It’s been a journey, for sure. From just filming random videos with no real plan to now, where we’re all about doing our homework, making solid plans, and getting the right team together to nail our goals.

It hasn’t always been smooth sailing, but I gotta give a huge shoutout to my family and friends for sticking by me through thick and thin. They’ve been there through the mess-ups and the wins, always pushing me to aim higher.

With some serious discipline and hustle, you can make anything happen. And that’s the vibe we’re all about at Moolou Vision.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My favorite things to do in Atlanta Falcons Game
APT4B
Divan
Poor Calvins
The Gathering Spot
The Yard
Vendure
Piedmont Park
John A White Golf Course

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to shoutout my family, the love of my life Casey and my two children Atum and Kali. This journey is not just mine; it’s ours, and I am endlessly grateful for their presence in my life.
