We had the good fortune of connecting with Lacie Davis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lacie, how does your business help the community?
MD4L Foundation aims to re-establish and strengthen mother/daughter relationships. Unfortunately it is far too common that these bonds are exhausted and broken. Through specific strategy, we can help repair this. By doing so, this positively impacts the community as this could be a root cause for problems within the person affecting others surrounding them. Mending relationships creates a renewed mindset.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My pure passion sets me apart from others. This organization is not Looking to profit obviously , however we are looking to solve a problem in the community. The focus on the people and not so much the income is what sets me apart. I understand that it’s the whole point of a nonprofit organization but there aren’t many out there like this.

I got to where I am today by simply recognizing an issue between mother daughter relationships. It was quite easy for me because I had a certain drive. The only challenge I currently have comes from marketing. I currently have a need to market and create content so that I can attract an audience of people who want to volunteer or donate so that we can continue our passion.

I want the world to know that we’ve already made a tremendous impact but it’s only the beginning. We have so many plans and initiatives scheduled for the remainder of 2022 and I can’t wait to release and share them with you . Also, I am seeking volunteers so don’t hesitate to reach out to us!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my friend came to the city, I would take them straight to the Atlanta beltline. It is my favorite thing to do when the weather is nice. The first stop with the Ponce city market of the variety of shops and restaurants. Also, they have a bar upstairs called bar vegan that is pretty dope.

I also love the high museum. I like to check out the different exhibits that they showcase every month or so.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Rikkita Criss, my mother, deserves many shoutouts from me! She set the example of what a healthy mother/ daughter relationship looks like. While all relationships, are not the same, the same values and fundamentals can be applied. Without the bond we have, I wouldn’t be able to compare other relationships to see that there is a problem. The juxtaposition allows for me the recognize the issue and aim to fix it.
