We had the good fortune of connecting with Lacey Hill and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lacey, we’d love for you to start things off by telling us something about your industry that we and others not in the industry might be unaware of?
I know there a huge stigma out there, where ” indians” are BAD and SAVAGES. such misunderstandings in which create barriers out of fear. Im hoping to change it. so thank you for including me in this interview. Here is what I share with the outsiders.
There are so many Indigenous artists and visionaries that are sooooo remarkablly talented and viberant. The future of Indigenous Art, Music, Culture will ultimately bring people together for oppurtunity of healing. in a glodal way. I beleive in Quantum Healing and I love being apart of the shift and hope you jump on board

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.

Above is information about what I do . Im proud of all these accomplishements,

No its not easy. nothing is easy when your an indepenent Indigenous 2S woman, living in a Cis white world. but by me existing.. im changing the narrative one song, one lyrics , one melody one word at a time.
Theres too many lessons to list. but the one thing that has been consistent is … listen to your guts … make good decisions even though sometimes its not what you “want” but what you need.
I love creating and just want ppl to just listen for a few moments. to feel together.. to connect.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
