We had the good fortune of connecting with Kyzmen Wood and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kyzmen, have you ever found yourself in a spot where you had to decide whether to give up or keep going? How did you make the choice?
To give up or not solely depends on you evaluating yourself, your predicament, and your surroundings. If I was unsure whether it was something I liked doing or even cared about, it would be ok to let go. But, after I officially received the trademark for my brand in 2019, I knew I had to make something happen. By then it was too much money and time invested for me to just let the brand fall to the wayside.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Kash Clothing is like a kid of mine, it’s so stressful at times but I love everything about it. I love being able to grow with it and just expand the reach of it. The company in itself offers so much that it’s hard to stand in line with other brands. We do what we want and pride ourselves on being able to deliver some of the best quality designs in the industry. Nothing comes easy, but the fruits of the labor are rewarding. I’ve learned so much in such a small amount of time and met so many people that it’s hard to not be proud of the direction we’re headed. I need everyone to understand we’re here to stay so either get right or get left. Simple.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
In Atlanta? When I’m in Atlanta, I love being in Buckhead and getting breakfast at Egg Harbor Cafe. Atlantic Station has really good food there, The Burger Joint is one of my favorites. We’d hang out between Midtown and Buckhead. I’m not a big fan of going to clubs so we’d probably get a few bottles, American Deli, and have a few friends come through in Midtown.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Honestly, it’s so much love to my support system! There’s so much love for everyone who supports my brand. But it’s especially a lot of love for my closest friends and mentors. My friends from back home Davo, Dj, Johnnie, Jose, and Nya all keep me leveled and in the cut. Condi and Juice J keep me in the streets and I love them so much for that. My mentors: Griff, Mr. G, and my mom all offer different perspectives that weigh heavily on some of the decisions I make. Thank God for providing the people he has to me and for just being instrumental in my life.
