We had the good fortune of connecting with Kyraun Wilson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kyraun, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
I definitely feel at Artisticpits we’ve been able to change some of the negative stereotypes people have when it comes to pitbull and Bully breeds. Showing how amazing these kinds of dogs can be with proper care and love I think we have been able to touch alot of hearts that weren’t always open to the breed. I also think we show people a more family side of owning a dog that you don’t always get to see.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
When I think of art , I think creativity, ideas. I’ve been an artist for as long as I can remember. It started with my love for drawing, and music. Those twin flames brought on the name “Artistic belief”(hence the name Artisticpits) in my later aspiring musician years. Growing up, I also had a love for American bullies. I remember the first time my mom surprised me with a dog. I was 5 years old and it was the most amazing feeling ever, the joy I felt was truly indescribable. I wanted to give people that same feeling and I’ve been blessed to do just that! When I began I was really thinking small and just wanted to produce some unique colored pups once or twice. Then as I started to do research and take notes from others having success in this business I started to have a bigger vision. It takes alot of rough nights and days to do this right and things don’t always go your way. You can lose a dog or a pup or a whole litter. So many different things can happen. Unfortunately I’ve taken some losses but I’ve learned from everyone and improved my program. We are still fairly new to the game and I still have a long way to go as well as alot more to learn. I’m excited about the direction we’re going tho. I personally deliver my pups all over the states from Vegas to Boston to Chicago to Minnesota etc. I love to see the joy on the new families faces when I arrive with their new family friend. I want the world to know Bully breeds aren’t the monsters the world paints them to be and that Artisticpits are for everyone!
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Sadly I hardly ever get out and I’m originally from jersey so I’m not to sure of the best spots in the city. However me and my close friends have really been into visiting different trails, parks and waterfalls so we’d most likely find something that looks interesting on Google and make an adventure out of the day.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d definitely like to give a shout out to my Queen Desiree and my daughter Nisyla. They have played such a major role in my success and have supported me from the very beginning. My family and friends who believed in me also and pushed me to chase after my goals and smash them! I love you all! (Samantha, Fardan, Kinshasa, DeVauntay, Tshyrad, Tarell)
