Meet Kyra Lynn | Esthetician & Creative

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kyra Lynn and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kyra Lynn, maybe we can start at the very start – the idea – how did you come up with the idea for your business?
I was a junior attending Ohio University and if you’re unaware its located in the middle of nowhere, so we had very limited accessible to beauty maintence especially for people of color. So in 2019, I remember getting my lashes done for the first time and I just was just so fascinated in new beauty service that I had never knew existed. At the time, the person that was doing my lashes was graduating and all I could think was “well who in the world is about to do my lashes lol??” & I was determined to learn how to do them on myself. I was taught how to apply them on myself and then was taught how to apply them on others. As my senior year rolled around, I just knew that I could make this a side hustle in college.
A year later, as I’m graduating we’re hit with the pandemic and I had no idea what I was going to do with my life. All I knew was that I had a skill that could potentially make me money and just as I began to learn more about the beauty industry, I ended up working in a salon, while going to esthetician school and gaining my license to perform other beauty services in 2022.
Fast forward to today, I’ve built up my brand, ESTIBAE and moved away from my hometown as a full time esthetician where I service men and women of all age types in beauty industry. So, in summary this idea came from a “little side job” in college.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I like to define myself as a creative because I can really do a lot. Aside from my esthetician business, I’m a model, actress, bartender and even create flyers and logos when I have the time too. But I think something that would set me apart from other is my hustle and my drive. Whatever I put my mind too, I take the steps to learn and try to accomplish it. I’m just most proud of never giving up. Being an entrepreneur is not for the weak and God has put me through trials and tribulations but he also has given me the strength and wisdom to get through lessons because life is not easy. You’re going to have your ups and downs but its very rewarding. A few lessons that I learned along the way is have faith, ask questions when you’re unsure but also do your own research, and put yourself in rooms of like minded people and that you see accomplishing goals. NETWORK.
I just want the world to know my brand as a household name and provide an experiences that’s unmatched like no other. As well as aspire young black people that anything is possible. The legacy I want the world to know about me is that I inspire people to do everything they want to in this lifetime and to see my people win. My story is that is takes dedication and what’s meant for you will be for you!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
For a week long trip in Atlanta, I would definitely take my bestie to the places with good vibes, drinks and music. A few hang out spots I currently enjoy are sovereign sweets, terranga city and slush. My favorite brunching spots are roc south and suite food lounge. I’d also take my bestie to walk around ponce city market. A fun place to go to would be your third spot and now we have the new balloon museum.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I have a few shoutouts! First God. I would not be nowhere if it wasn’t for him giving me the direction, the faith, the perseverance to keep going through with whatever I put my mind to. Secondly, my clients. They keep me busy and keep me going and supporting me through every milestone. I feel so honored to be able to provide an experience for someone and make their day better. Thirdly, I’m so grateful to be surrounded by loved and encouragement by family members and friends and that pour into me and want to see me succeed. It really doesn’t go unnoticed. Every shoutout, repost, comment, like, ect. I see it and I appreciate it one thousand percent.
