We had the good fortune of connecting with Kyle Greene and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kyle, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Kyle A. Greene LLC originally was just a hashtag ( #KyleSpeaks) that I used on social media when I spoke here and there. But as my brand began to grow bigger I needed to create a business model and structure around it so I could level up. This is what I learned quick, when speaking to other bosses many times they don’t take you seriously if you don’t have your house in order. So my thought process was simple my business looked like a hobby the people who were in charge of writing checks wouldn’t see me as being equal. And I knew I was a BOSS!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Kyle A. Greene LLC was really birthed out of tragedy. February 26, 2012, a kid who I never met was murdered in a city I had never visited. As the world would learn more in how Trayvon Martin was murdered it captured our attention because for the longest his killer wasn’t being held accountable for his actions. I remember listening to his mom, Sybrina Fulton speak at a “1 Million Hoodie March” in New York City in honor or her son. My son (Kyle Greene Jr.) who was seven at the time came downstairs handing me his favorite hoodie and said, “Dad I can’t wear my hoodie anymore because I might get killed like Trayvon.” Immediately, I knew I had to do something because I didn’t want my son to have that type of mindset.

I went to Facebook and wrote a post that changed my life. I simply said, “What do yall think about doing a rally at Finley Park to honor Trayvon Martin on Saturday?” It was late Wednesday night (maybe early Thursday morning) and when I woke up the post went viral. Fast forward to Saturday and the “1K Hoodie March in Honor Trayvon Martin” drew over 3,700 people. A vision that I had positively impacted my entire community. The people wanted to hear directly from me and I wasn’t a professional speaker then. I was working IT and managing an rapper/friend from college (Snook). Nervously, I got on the mic and spoke with my son by my side and it was in that moment I knew that I could bring ALL types of people together and could change the world! #KyleSpeaks was birthed out tragedy.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Atlanta is definitely a fun city so the possibilities are really endless. If it’s one of my best friends I know they like sports so we would probably catch a Hawks or Falcons game. My daughter (Aubria) and I recently visited TI new restaurant (Trap City Cafe) so we would probably hit that which happens to be next door to the Trap Museum. So we would literally kill 2 birds with 1 stone (granted I hate paying $20 to park; Atlanta be tripping). If they wanted some wings or something we’d definitely hit up TacoMac their voodoo magic wings (oven roasted) hittttttt! S/O to coach White (Pace Academy) for putting me on.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My two grandmothers. Irene Green Gaston and Clara Bell Beasley. These two women single handily changed my life. My grandma Irene raised me on a fixed income but gave unlimited love. All she had was a middle school education but she taught me so many profound life lessons. She would tell me, “Kyle baby now you treat people how you want to be treated not how they treat you.” So, in other words if they ever treat you wrong you still treat them right. She was my “why” and I never wanted to let her down.

Grandma Clara taught me how to read one summer. I could not read and going into the eight grade she made me read if word in their Encyclopedia collection. She changed the trajectory of my educational journey.

My two grandmothers gave me exactly what I needed then to become the man that I am today. And without their prayers, love and sacrifices I’m not exactly sure how my life would have played out.
