Meet Kyle Alessair | Designer, Stylist, & Model

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kyle Alessair and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kyle, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
Setting clear intentions for everything and staying organized has been major, In addition to being intentional with my time. Whether I’m styling a client, designing for my brand, or directing a shoot, I always approach it with structure while also paying major attention to details. It is about staying consistent and executing whether for content or projects, planning my weeks, tracking my goals, and reflecting have also helped. Lastly, building a personal relationship with individuals in your community is important whether it’s a client or collaborator, networking is key.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
In regards to my art I enjoy creating stunning visuals but also building full experiences whether through my brand, styling, creative direction, or modeling. I am the owner of Koûteux, a luxury streetwear brand I started in 2018. What sets me apart is my ability to full execute a vision from start to finish. Im not just behind the scenes but also planning and sourcing for shoots, styling, managing rollout, and more. I believe this sets me apart because I am able to wear multiple hats on set. I am most proud of my recent accomplishment of receiving my first magazine publication as a stylist and I excited about upcoming projects I am working on currently. This journey hasn’t been easy at all as I didn’t have a blueprint or a team to work along with- I have overcome challenges by being consistent and resilient, I had to teach myself how to navigate from pitching emails to how to properly apply for opportunities, networking is also very important. Over the last 3 Years, Ive been modeling and building in real time, the biggest lesson I’ve learned it that you have to back yourself, even when others do not fully see the vision yet, you have to create the space for your art to exist. What I want the world to know about me and my brand is that it’s built on originality and authenticity, what I’m building showcases and highlights my journey.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

Day 4, Would start off with Beat the Bomb ATL and Dinner at Roc South Cuisine. Day 5, would start with a walk on the belt line exploring ending with dinner at STK and a night out! Day 6, would start with Brunch and Mimosas with Putt-Shack after, ending with the Ponce City Market Rooftop.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Majority of my Creative Journey has been self led. Being multifaceted I wear almost every hat from Designer to Stylist to Graphic Designer, in addition to sourcing my own materials and opportunities. Especially in the modeling industry, I’ve had to build and pitch myself and overall a lot of growth came from navigating this on my own.
With that said, I do want to give a credit and shoutout to my support system- my family and close friends who keep me grounded and push me forward. Even though they are not directly involved in my creative or production process, they’ve played a big role in reminding me of my purpose and holding me accountable. Having positive people in your corner who believe in you is important.
