Meet Kyana Frierson | Interior Design

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kyana Frierson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kyana, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
Since a little girl I always had that creative, artistic, eye. I was a dancer since the age of 4 and always preferred my art classes over the other subjects, and loved experimenting with fashion. Through my college career I really had to hone in on my future, ask myself what path did I want to take in the creative industry and that led to me to Interior Design. Art and design is truly a passion of mine, I couldn’t see myself pursuing anything else!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
People think Interior Design is easy, but really it’s way more to it. I am still growing within the industry, there’s levels to it, despite what you see on TV and social media but I am honestly proud of my journey, remember you have to start somewhere even if it’s bottom of the barrel but that level 1 experience will get you to the top, it just takes time!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Funny, friends are on their way down to visit as Im typing this but first they have to experience Divans and Pasha, for dining. Traffik is a fun spot for drinks and a good time! The battery is on the itinerary as well to hang out for day time fun

All thanks to my parents and family, for really sticking beside me on my expensive journey. I owe them the world!
