We had the good fortune of connecting with Kween Kathy and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kween Kathy, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I believe that everything I ever wanted is on the other side of fear. This is exactly why I stand on the belief that in order to succeed you must take a risk. I have taken the risks my whole career such as starting a media company with no financial help. Also by taking the risk to seek the help of media mentors to better my craft. I also hopped in to the direct messages of artists and entrepreneurs in order to land a interview with them.

What should our readers know about your business?
My business is a media company is called Hart-Felt Media LLC. What sets us apart from other media company is the passion that we have for properly promoting artists and entrepreneurs, hence our name Hart-Felt. Every interview or event we do is Hart-Felt. I am very proud to say that we take our work and name very serious and do the best job possible. We are only able to do the best work because of strong faith in GOD. I definitely believe that media is my calling because I’m a natural introvert until I get in front of the camera;I become an extrovert and that’s only because of my faith. Entrepreneurship is extremely difficult and I always pray and meditate. I want the world to know that Kween Kathy is the ultimate GOAL getter and that I’m so passionate and professional when it comes to anything that I do. I want the world to know that Hart-Felt Media is a super passionate and supportive company will to work and advance those in the arts. We are a place that creatives go to thrive.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
This is a wonderful question because I get asked these questions all the time. I know my bestie loves to have a good time but she’s also into trying fun activities. I would take her to the White Water center to go zip lining and cycling. Then we would have lunch at Tupelo Honey. We would go home and get ready to dinner at Flemings Steakhouse and end the night at Safari Lux Lounge. We would hit up all the best bunch spots clubs and activity driven places in Charlotte.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My family and friends especially my friend Brittany Myers who helped me land this interview. My mother Fannie my aunts Lucia and Josephine. My sisters Alicia, Arielle Daisy Fifi, Brittney and Khadijah. My cousins Monica & Candy. My mentors Chelly Justice, Brittany Cheri and last but not least my business partner. Thank you to my tribe for all the love, encouragement and support throughout my journey as an entrepreneur.
