Meet Kwabena Boateng: HipHop Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kwabena Boateng and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kwabena, what makes you happy? Why?
alot of things make me happy as far as on the music side of things and the few good people I have around me. But the most thing that makes me happy is having a peace of mind.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
what sets me aside from others is my music and sound. The energy and lifestyle I present through my music. What I’m most proud of is since I started releasing my music through streaming i have been able to release 3 full album projects including 4 singles which I did it all alone without a label or sponsorship from anyone. Felt good to put those projects out and have been satisfied with how those projects were received. I got to this point or where im at today by not waiting for anybody or any help. Hard work with my own time, grind and money. It wasn’t easy as I was faced to handle everything alone and i over came all challenges along the way by staying focus on the job and what was needed for me to do. My personal lessons i have learned is to never trust anyone or expect things come to you without yourself putting in any type of work. I want the world to know my crew and I on the rise, hoping to share our stories and also to let the world of hiphop know “We aint no crew to mess with”
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
my response may be different from others but we will be hanging out more on the strip club scene.
1. blue flame strip club @ donald lee howell (bankhead)
2. magic city @ downtown
my fav spot to eat is at a place called the Local on Ponce de leon. In my opinion some of the best wings in the city at that spot.
also hanging out at the studio will be a thing I do with my guest because more than likely i will have sessions booked during that week
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to give a shoutout to my crew Take money gang/7 figga entertainment for having my back by showing the support and love through out these years. Also want to give a shout out to those that inspired me on the music side, my favorite artist styles P, 50 cent for showing and paving the way for upcoming artist like me.
