We had the good fortune of connecting with Krystal Casseus and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Krystal, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
I’m from an area in Queens Ny called Rosedale. Our slogan from queens is QTMG which means “Queens Get The Money”. So growing up in queens always seems like there’s a constant competition when it comes to fashion, cars, jewelry, and overall appearance and status. Some may call it a crab In a barrel mentality but we just call it “friendly competition”. One thing I admire about being from where I’m from is the constant hustle energy. Coming from queens there’s always some type of money that’s being made on every block. Whether it’s selling plates of food or selling homemade mixed drinks on the block, you can always find someone making a bag to keep up with the lifestyle. Queens is pretty much a middle class society and in order to achieve that we pretty watched our parents buss they ass to make sure their family was well taking care of. The majority of my friends parents worked 2 or 3 jobs to keep us in the middle class realm. This meant that we’ve seen our parents work non stop, mostly tired and stressed and little to no time to actually enjoy life. Although looking at it now as an adult I truly appreciate and admire the sacrifice our parents made, however I never wanted to go through those same struggles to achieve the bare minimum. I always dreamed of finding a way to make my dreams come true without the slave mentality of working from paycheck to paycheck to make ends meet. Don’t get me wrong I admire the hustle and the discipline behind our parents achievements but I always felt like there has to be another way! This is why I birthed KrystalClearProducts.! Not only did I find a way to become financially free, the real graditude is the ability to completely uplift peoples confidence by clearing the issues they have with their skin. The first thing people look at when you walk into a room is your skin, and coming from where I’m from appearance is basically everything! I used to suffer from acne. discoloration and hyperpigmentation. After my pregnancy with my son my skin completely went down the drain. I was so depressed and humiliated because like I said coming from where I’m from appearance is everything! I started doing constant research and experimented with different ingredients until I finally found the perfect formula that completely got rid of my acne, discoloration and hyperpigmentation. Once I cleared my skin my “queens hustle” mentality kicked in and I started selling my products to close friends and family. The word and results spread like wild fire. I was able to start an online business and ultimately opened a beauty spa in Long Island NY selling KrystalClearProducts. I am currently in the process of opening an Atlanta location. I started off literally making products in my room at my mothers house in queens to now being a skincare manufacturer helping small business owners become Financially free by starting their own skin care company has been the ultimate blessing. When you have products that’s actually work, God in your corner and a hustlers mentality the sky is the limit!

What should our readers know about your business?
One thing I can say about being an entrepreneur and owning and running your own business is ITS NOT EASY ! To be honest when I first started selling my skincare a products, I don’t think I mastered my skincare formula . So In some cases I was getting amazing reviews and other cases I was getting cursed out because people will complain that their skin has gotten worse. The negative feedback really crushed my confidence in the skincare journey and almost made me give up altogether. I put my pride to the side and went back to the drawing board using different ingredients until I finally perfected my formula and had nothing but positive feedback ever since. I would like to point out that in the skincare world everybodys skin type isn’t the same. Some products works well for others and some products doesn’t have that same effect for other people. The best advice I can give is always stay true to immaculate customer service. My grandmother always told me you attract more bees with honey rather than vinegar. For a client to initially support your brand is a blessing in itself, because the market is so over saturated they literally could’ve went anywhere else. So always put the client first no matter what. Whether it’s providing a full refund or suggesting another one of your products free of charge is literally the key to keeping your business growing. Here is a hidden gem. Believe it or not most of the support that comes your way is based on who you are as a person not what your selling.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Well I am a very good hostess and entertainer so when I have visitors I usually entertain at my house. However ATL is the home of entertainment and having an amazing time! One of my favorite places to eat is Roc South . The food is amazing and the overall ambiance is great . If your looking for a good day party I recommend elleven45 or Bougaloo.
