We had the good fortune of connecting with Kristie S. Andrews and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kristie S., what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I’ve always had the overwhelming desire to be extraordinary. I’ve always wanted to be a vessel to help inspire and motivate others to be their best self and to always go after their dreams. This is why I became a Certified Professional Life Coach, Transformational Life Coach, and an Emotional Intelligence Coach. I leverage my certifications, work experience, and education to help women achieve Life Makeovers. Its my desire to help as many women as I possibly can to overcome life’s unfortunate setbacks so that she can become unstoppable in her personal and professional life. Next level living is mandatory.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I serve in the role of Vice President of Human Resources at Emory Healthcare. I have been in healthcare for 23 years and I have been committed to serving patients, teammates, and my community in various operations roles. I have an MBA. I hold a certification in the American College of Healthcare Executives, Patient Experience, Life Coaching, and DEI (Diversity Equity and Inclusion). I am proud that I actually knew that I wanted to work in healthcare since the age of 8 years old. It was not easy to get where I am in my career. I’ve experienced rejection, complacency, marginalization, and horrible working conditions at times in my career. However, I needed to go through the difficult times so that I can help others who are or will experience these things in the work environment. I would not be where I am now if I didn’t have awesome mentors, a dynamic professional network, and successful career sponsors to help shape my career. I am quite fortunate to have been afforded so many opportunities to advance and grow professionally. So when I examine my professional career and my personal business the underlying theme is that I use my skills, talents, and abilities to motivate people to achieve their maximum potential.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I absolutely love what Atlanta has to offer socially and recreationally. I enjoy taking my friends to some of my favorite go to spots to eat such as Spondivits, Roc South Cuisine, La Parrilla, Eclipse di Luna, Juicy Crab, Flatlands Bourbon and Bayou, Ocean & Acre, and Agave Restaurant. I really enjoy staycations and my favorite hotels in Atlanta is the Starling Hotel Atlanta, Chateau Elan, and the W downtown. Atlanta’s social scene is so vast and has something to indulge everyone. I will take my girls to to the Putt Shack, and Slingshot for a great girls night out. To satisfy our shopping craving we will have to visit Phipps Plaza, Perimeter Mall, and Mall of Georgia.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d like to send a shout out to my children, parents, sister, friends, and sorority sisters of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc.
