We had the good fortune of connecting with Kristi Campbell and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kristi, can you share the most important lesson you’ve learned over the course of your career?
If the price you stated doesn’t scare you, the number is not big enough. Understanding my business’s worth is one of the hardest thing I think I’ve had to learn but I’ve come to find out everyone isn’t your target customer and time is something you cannot get back. I value my time and if it is not a price that I am happy with, I will not agree to do it.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
When I started my travel consulting business in 2018, I knew that I did not want to work for people. I wanted to operate on my own schedule, travel, and provide opportunities for other people. I had to learn how to apply for an LLC, how to get a business checking account, how to create content for social media, and understand my clientele. I have created a business that allows millennials to know that it is possible to travel to Bali, Thailand, and Dubai!

Being a one wo(man) team was not and still is not easy, but there is a hunger that is constantly ignited inside of you when you have been told no one too many times or when you are fed up at your dead-end job. Yes, I still get tired, and yes some days I wonder what the heck did I get myself into but there is a legacy that I want to leave for my children and my grandchildren.

Along the way, I’ve learned to love myself, be okay with charging my friends/family, and understanding that my time is valuable because it is time I cannot get back.

I want the world to know that we are taking over the travel industry. All gas, no brakes!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Finding accommodations has got to be at the one and only Ga Luxury Rentals! With over 7 luxury properties in Atlanta, you are bound to have an amazing time! (GaLuxuryRentals.com). If you love shopping, Lenox or Permiter Mall are your best friends. The Corner Grille has some of the BEST food you ever had (and it is black-owned)! Tour Atlanta by visiting the Zoo, Botanical Gardens, World of Coca-Cola, or Ponce City Market. You’ve also got to visit Crave, Sundial and Little Alley’s (great steakhouse). The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Wow, this is a tough one! There are so many people that have impacted my life and propelled me to where I am today. First and foremost, major shoutout to GOD! The past 2-3 weeks of my life can’t even be explained and the only answer that I have is “but God”.

Of course my family and friends! They have supported me financially, physically, mentally, spiritually, and emotionally.

Major shoutout to my sorority, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, who has also supported me in ways that I never would have imagined.

Two MUST READS are The Memo by Minda Harts and Money Master the Game by Tony Robbins. These books truly helped to guide my direction as I master navigating this thing called life.
