We had the good fortune of connecting with Kristen James and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kristen, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I always knew that I wanted to work in the health field. I thought I would become a doctor because they are the ones that “heal” people. After many years of consideration, I decided nursing would be best since they are the ones who actually spend the most time with the patients. During my 5 years of working as a nurse, I quickly learned that traditional medicine is simply a bandaid. This sparked an interest in holistic health. Even in my own health, I learned that traditional medicine wasn’t the answer for my fertility. I used vitamins, minerals, herbs, and prayer to conceive naturally. Lifeline Holistic Health was started to share the healing properties of natural medicine with my community.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Lifeline Holistic Health is a mobile IV Hydration and Wellness Company based in Douglasville, GA, that provides services around the state of Georgia. Our goal is to provide alternative wellness to help our community heal from within. All of our services are mobile, which means that we come to you. We provide a personalized experience that not only treats the root cause but also educates our community to make better decisions for their health. Our mobile unit, The Lifeline Express, gives us the opportunity to reach people where they are. ie. physically in their homes and medically through consultation.

Lifeline was formed to educate and ensure that others are aware that vitamin deficiencies can lead to many different problems within the body, including infertility, autoimmune disorders, and migraines. I suffered from infertility related to Vitamin D deficiency and was able to conceive naturally through vitamin therapy.

Was it easy? Definitely not. I face challenges each and every day in this business. I evaluate and address them as they come, move forward with persistence, and do not allow them to consume me.

I have learned that consistency is key to success.

Knowledge is power. I want people in our communities to know that there are more options for their health than traditional medicine. Being informed of the alternatives, allows us to be better advocates for us and our families.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Since we love performing arts, we would go to a show or two at the Fox Theater. Will try different brunch restaurants throughout the city. If we decide to go outside of Atlanta, We would head down to Jacksonville, Fl. Enjoy some fresh seafood, the beach, and the local restaurants.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to shoutout God for allowing me this opportunity to use my experience and testimony to bless others. I would like to thank my husband Bryan for his undoubted support, my friend Ty for always being a listening ear and pouring positivity into me, my parents for encouraging me, and my son for being my motivation to keep going.
