Meet Kole Saunders | Photographer/Cinematographer/Editor

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kole Saunders and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kole, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My thought process in starting my own business is a very simple one. If you’re good at something, passionate about it, and and the people want it, why not start a business.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Art comes in many forms and mine is my photography and filmmaking. I enjoy capturing the moment in my photos. I enjoy help telling a story in my filmmaking. Both bring out emotions out of people that can be good or bad and to have that control of someone is an amazing feeling. Especially when it can save someone’s life. People are the biggest challenge to anything. Everyone doesn’t have your best interest. But once you can learn how to weed out the right people nothing can stop you from your goals. One thing I’ve learned on my journey is to try everything. By doing that I’ve learned what I didn’t like and what I loved. And it’s ok to be afraid because you’re progressing when that happens. Once you overcome that fear it brings you to another level that makes you better at what you do. With my filmmaking I want to tell the stories the changes lives. And with my photography I want to capture memories of people’s lives. So they can go back and experience that memory again like it just happened.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well if you’re with me you’re going to have a drink and you’re going to eat. One place that has both is Ponce City Market. The belt line is there so you will see some interesting people. I also like a challenge so a place like Top Golf or PutShack is a good place that I can kick someone’s ass in a game.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are a few people I could shoutout on my Journey to success but shoutout to one of my awesome brothers Kenneth Saunders, just because.
