We had the good fortune of connecting with Kobe Goodall and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kobe, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
The process behind starting my business was simple. I knew I had a skill of building connections and maintaining a network. That led me to start a business that would thrive off me meeting and helping people smile. I chose the 360 booth because of the effect I saw it give people. It instantly made people loose, fun, and engaging. I felt like those qualities are what’s missing from social events now. People are afraid to let loose and interact with each other, but when you hop on the 360 and feel the music your attitude changes quickly.
What should our readers know about your business?
What sets my business apart from others is the integration between the 360 booth which is an active photo booth that causes you to pose, dance, and embrace whoever you’re on the platform with I combined this with professional photos taken by a roaming camera man through the party. I realized quickly that guest are often torn between having just a regular camera to capture all the moments of the party or a 360 camera to entertain their guest. Bringing both these choices as an option to my guest helps ease their decision making process and give them a plethora of content to enjoy later on. I’m still beginning in my business I have learned a lot and I still have far to go. A lesson I taught myself and take very seriously now is “preparing for the worst.” Before I only prepared which was making sure I was organized, on time, and communicating with clients well. That’s not enough. Preparing for the worst means knowing what you’re going to do if there’s no wifi at the venue, if you misplaced the remote, if the ring light breaks, if theres no elevator in the building, etc. Being prepared for these moments make you great. I want the world to see my brand and think of having a good time no matter the occasion or venue.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take my friend who was visiting to a sporting event or club in dc. There are also cliffs I know with very nice views or we could go to the beach there’s a myriad of things I’d suggest to do it depends on the person.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have to recognize my mother. Growing up my mom was a teacher but I saw her simultaneously work as a real estate agent. At first I worried about how often she worked, but later I realized how much I respected her grind. She made me realize that to do anything good you need to work hard but if you want to be great you have to work different. That always stuck with me and led me to do the 360 booth because I felt it was something that had the opportunity to make a lot of money and it was something that no one in my area was doing.
