We had the good fortune of connecting with KJ CLEMENTE and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi KJ CLEMENTE, what’s the end goal, career-wise?
As a Rapper/Producer, the end goal is to remain healthy and be wealthy. Waking up knowing you’re making money doing what you love and working with talented artist from a producer standpoint. I definitely want to be a music A&R and exclusive producer for music especially since I don’t see my myself rapping for a long time.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a producer and rapper from south Jersey. I think what sets me apart from other artist is the way I was able to grow as a artist and producer and stay consistent. I’m proud at the fact I was able to inspire many people from my city to do music and just have fun with it. Being a artist from where from (Lindenwold) isn’t easy and a lot people won’t show you love on social media wise but outside that , they always make sure I receive my roses for what I do. The people I surround myself with today are the reason why I’m where I’m at professionally. It’s still hard for me because I’m not exactly where I want to be and I’m still dealing with challenges as far as gaining fans and dealing with financial struggles. I’ve learned many lessons and I got many more to learn as I deal with the music business. “For example”, be careful who you put your trust into and be careful how you invest your money into music. At the end of the day, I want the world to remember me as one of the greats especially when it comes down to the classic albums I have birthed and how much I represent where I come from. I want the beats I made to live forever in peoples hearts. Like I always say “If I d.i.e , remember because memories don’t last a century we fade eventually.”

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m from south Jersey so we gotta take that drive or train to Philly if you looking for a good time. Also , we could go to Atlantic City for a good time as well. we would go to Kelsey’s soul food spot in Atlantic City. Hit the beach especially since it’s the summer time. Maybe go to the studio if that friend does music. we can go to a reasonable bar like Jays elbow room , dons tequila or villaris in south Jersey or one of many bars in Philly. If I’m feeling generous, I might fry up my famous fried chicken and make jambalaya. We could go to drake night at the Fillmore if it’s Friday.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I definitely wanna shout out my mother and father for everything they have done for me. I wanna shoutout my SOSAV team and the TRI State Alliance. My niece and nephew who inspire me. My brothers and sisters and so many more.
