We had the good fortune of connecting with King Tron and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi King, how do you think about risk?
The Bible says “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good testimony.” ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭11:1-2‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ I don’t look at it as “taking risks”. I look at it as “stepping out on faith”. My foundation is rooted in faith. Whatever God says in His word (Bible) I believe it and that settles it for me. I’ve been able to experience great things that a lot of people may be afraid to or don’t think they can all because of my faith. I’m where I’m at now in life and my career because of faith

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I’m a Sales & Marketing Director for a hotel but also I run my own CPR/BLS business. I have a partnership with Walmart, CVS, Walgreens and Lowe’s were I go all over the state of Georgia and teach/certify their Pharmacist and Techs. What sets me apart is that I’m a young black man in this industry. There’s not many if any people that looks like me doing what I’m doing on this particular level and I’m grateful to be a trendsetter. I’m literally teaching people for to save lives which is a pretty big deal. My students will forever remember me. I’ve gotten to where I’m at today by not giving up on myself. I’ve done a lot of great things at such a young age but I haven’t always made the right decisions. Some decisions has caused me to lose almost everything including my mind but by my Faith through the grace of God I’ve been able to maintain and overcome every obstacle I’ve faced.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I don’t get out as much as I use to. I’m such a home body now. I enjoy my own presence but when I do go out or if I have a friend(s) coming to town we’d definitely have to do brunch somewhere like BQE or Suite Lounge. I like the vibe at both places. Not too big not too small, typically the young professional crowd so not to rowdy, the DJs are dope and the food is amazing! Then we’d go back to my place to nap (haha those brunch/day parties will wear you out). Afterwards we’d link with some friends and just hang by the pool or play spades (or something to that nature). That evening we’d hit up Sivas in Midtown which is one of my favorites for a little “pregame”. If we make it out of Sivas sober (lol) we just hit the town and enjoy what the night brings. I’ve learned over time to just go with the flow. I know a lot of promoters in the city so I’d just reach out and see what’s the best vibe for that night.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Omg there’s so many people that has helped mold and shape me into the man I am today. Too many to name but I’d be remiss if I didn’t start out with my mother and father. My father passed away in 06’ but he left such a great impact on my life especially when it comes to hard work, dedication, and consistency. Also my father was an entrepreneur. I didn’t realize it until I got older to understand what he was doing but he had a “9-5” job but he also owned real estate. My mother was the one that raised my siblings and I in the church. She’s the one that taught me how to be humble and to appreciate the simple things in life. My mother and father treated everyone they came in contact with kindness, love and encouragement.
