We had the good fortune of connecting with Kimyatta Albert and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kimyatta, what is the most important factor behind your success?
With 22-plus years immersed in the wellness space and a solid 16-year track record as a business owner, my journey reflects the duration of time and the depth of experience. My commitment goes beyond the surface. It’s not merely about physical transformations; it’s about fostering emotional and mental metamorphoses that become the secret sauce, the essence of what brings clients back time and again. In these years of business, my intentional focus remains unwavering — each client’s journey is a unique narrative of transformation. It’s about the sacred space created, the personalized touch, and conversations meticulously aligned with individual needs. The goal is not only to make them look good but to leave them feeling as good as they look.
A pivotal element of this transformative experience is the energy I bring to the table. I engage in my energy work, ensuring I am ready to provide an exceptional experience for each client. This commitment to holistic well-being, both for myself and those I serve, forms the heartbeat of my wellness sanctuary. It’s a commitment that resonates in every interaction, creating an atmosphere where physical, emotional, and mental transformations intertwine to craft an unforgettable experience for each individual who walks through the door.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
In 2008, faced with the challenge of a recession, I transitioned from working at a friend’s day spa to launching my own business, overcoming imposter syndrome, scarcity mindset, and limiting beliefs. With the support of loyal clients, I ventured into entrepreneurship, drawing on skills acquired over the years. What sets SkinWithin apart is my genuine, client-focused approach that prioritizes skincare and spiritual and emotional well-being. The transformative experience is central, emphasizing self-care as a practice. The lasting relationships with clients attest to the safe and prioritized environment I cultivate. From the treatment table, I’ve naturally evolved into a mindset, money, and business coach, with a current focus on empowering BIPOC mompreneurs, especially single moms like myself, to achieve balanced success in parenting and entrepreneurship.
As a woman of color who left home at 15, without formal education, and became a single mother, my story challenges stereotypes. I want the world to know that circumstances don’t dictate your path; you do. My mission is to inspire others, especially those facing similar challenges, to recognize their potential and achieve success against all odds.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
For an unforgettable week with my best friend in Atlanta, we’d start with a stay at the Loews Hotel Downtown. The modern rooms, plush beds, and onsite amenities create the perfect home away from home. The bar downstairs serves refreshing, unique drinks, and the lobby offers a welcoming space to connect and entertain. To explore the city, we’d opt for scooters, zipping around to take in the vibrant sights and sounds. When it comes to dining, STK Steakhouse steals the spotlight with its diverse menu and enticing drinks. The upscale yet lively atmosphere sets the stage for a memorable culinary experience.
For a night of relaxation and quality time, we’d head to Movie on the Square at Colony Square, indulging in the timeless charm of Dirty Dancing, my all-time favorite Movie. Returning to the Loews Hotel, we’d cap off the evening with dessert in the lobby, savoring the sweet ending to a perfect day.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
In this Shoutout, I dedicate my appreciation to Lori Nestore, a pivotal figure in my beauty career journey. Formerly the owner of Eva’s Esthetics, now Tue’l Skin Care, Lori has shaped my professional trajectory since the early days. My connection with Lori began when she visited my beauty school, where she conducted a class featuring her skincare line. Instantly captivated by her authenticity, knowledge, and individualism, I couldn’t help but be impressed. The turning point came when I inquired about using her products after obtaining my esthetician license. A simple phone call, where Lori candidly mentioned their short-staffed situation, set the stage for a significant shift in my life.
Within a week, I found myself working at Eva’s Skin Care, thanks to Lori’s openness to offering employment. Under her guidance, I honed my skills as a knowledgeable esthetician and expert waxer and gained insights into a skincare company’s intricate workings. Lori imparted the invaluable lesson that embracing my authenticity and discovering my unique brand of magic would be the key to my success.
Throughout my entrepreneurial journey, filled with ups and downs, Lori has stood by me as a mentor and advocate. She’s been more than a guide; she’s been a partner in growth, challenging me to overcome obstacles and discouraging any inclination to play small. Lori’s unwavering support and willingness to hold me accountable to my full potential have made her an indispensable force in my success story.
