Hi Kimbi, what is the most important factor behind your success?
I can honestly say the most important factor behind my success is surrounding myself with people who believed in me. At times where we may easily doubt ourselves or worry about non existent matters, having stable & true people that uplift you is key. They are Gods way of reminding you of who you are if you forget.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a woman who is multidimensional and Ive learned to fully own and accept this. I honor every lesson that I have learned in this lifetime. I am Kimbi Tiez, that in itself is what sets me apart. Musically I am a sum total of my own experiences, trials , tribulations and upbringing. So I am a touch of gospel, jazz, funk, neo soul, trance & blues all in one.

Nothing is easy in life. I live by our ability to make choices. So we can choose to make life heaven or hell, this is what builds character constantly. I choose peace. I choose balance. I choose to laugh. I choose to be in a chill state most of the time. Utilizing the power we have in us is so much more easier when we get out of our way.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Hmmm thats a good one. We’d go downtown to grab some food an array to choose from. Check out some music at one of the local spots for a bit. Im not a social party gal these days. Retreating to the nearby mountains or going to a lake cabin would be something I’d do.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My family, my best friend Latrice (web tech Queen), my homegirl Kennetha (stylist & makeup artist), Brandon my yoga baby who became my sista friend and biggest supporter. Da Voicebox, my Hype Williams. Everyone thats done right by me and blessed me throughout this journey I give thanks to.
