We had the good fortune of connecting with Kimberly Delaney and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kimberly, what do you want people to remember about you?
Legacy, what a strong and responsible word! I would like my legacy and presence to leave a direct impact on individuality. In todays world I feel you have to conform to a type and select a universe masterclass to be accepted. Individuality is a gift from the Most High. We all have something to offer the world and we should not dishonor our greatness by fitting in. I want people to remember that Kimberly Delaney went against the norm on purpose and loved who she was. She made a point to remind people of how unique, qualified and gifted they are!

What should our readers know about your business?
My mission which is my business is called K Glow Essentials. We offer Natural Skincare, Spiritual and Aromatherapy products to Uplift the Spirit! My company started from a recognizing a need to offer natural alternative products for skincare. Susie Thornton my grandmother(granny) often used prescribed ointments from her medical team that caused more irritation of her skin. We constantly battled dryness, flaking and redness of skin. Being a Shea Butter Lover I created a cream for her to use and we saw a tremendous difference. That product led me to create over 10 products added to our company ranging from Bath & Body to Hair Care. It has not always been a walk in the park as they say. You have to be passionate about your business in order to sustain it. Balance in personal life and business life is definitely a priority. I love to do Yoga or meditate to stay focused. Our mission is to continue to research and offer quality products for our Glow Community.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Okay so I do love me some Atlanta or ATL as we say! The diversity of the city is wonderful. First off, I love to eat so lets start there. I love Tropical Cuisine on Old National Highway….jerk chicken and rice all day. Next visit KatsCafe to relax with an Adult Beverage LOL and vibe with the smooth sounds of live music. Later visit the Apex Museum and be mesmerized by the education of wonderful exhibits offered to the community. Lastly, take a walk downtown Atlanta because I love the many shops, restaurants and occasionally local entertainer showing talents on the street corner. There are so many undiscovered talents in Atlanta.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My shoutout would go to my tribe which includes my parents, husband, children and family. I feel a strong foundation is important. Now I definitely want to give a shoutout to my husband who introduced me to entrepreneurship. I saw him operate a business for over 10 years. The ups, downs and sacrifices that it takes to sustain an successful business and trust of customers. I have so many influences but to the women before me I would like to give my gratitude. You have motivated me and showed me the many possibilities available. I am forever grateful for my tribe!
