We had the good fortune of connecting with Kim Golden and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kim, what do you want your legacy to be?
I want my legacy to be that I fought and survived all the pain, abuse and rejection and helped others to do the same. I never gave up. I want people to remember me by how I inspired and helped others through their pain with my words of encouragement as I went from city to city speaking of ways to make a change in their lives for the betterment of their futures.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My work consists of me writing and doing inspiring videos in seclusion. What sets me apart is I have no one around, no group of people I run with I move alone and I get good advice from my kids, I’m so proud of them. I’m on my way, I’m about to arrive, I claim it in the name of Jesus.
It’s not easy and with all the networking I do I still haven’t been able to establish any meaningful relationships in circles I would love to be a part of that could really guide and help me to get to the next level. I’ve learned to never give up, do my part and let God do the rest.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?

Catch a live R&B artist at the City Winery
Hang out at Piedmont park and eat some of their good food and have some good drinks
Walk at Centennial Park and get on the farris wheel
Take a carriage ride downtown
