We had the good fortune of connecting with Kierston S. Lewis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kierston S., can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Initially, I simply wanted to provide a service that made production and post-production easy for the unaware.

I’ve been apart of productions for majority of my life, so the stage and the ‘behind the scenes’ came naturally to me from a young age.

I wanted to expand my skill set ; while maximizing opportunities to provide resources and education to many people that do not know that ‘it takes all of that’ in social/production strategy and execution.

I, ultimately, desired to establish a legacy and make an impact in a lane that I knew I could master; my own.

What should our readers know about your business?
Anora Edits, LLC provides multimedia solutions to small businesses, nonprofit organizations, and independent brands in the southeast region.

I, personally, wanted to stick with post production/editing. However, over time, I began to develop an in depth affinity for the creative process. From brainstorming to planning to production to post-production to marketing and distribution.

This has most certainly NOT been easy and, I know, ‘everyone says that’, but it’s true. This has been the most uncomfortable experience I’ve ever had, yet the most fulfilling and groundbreaking.

In these past two years, I’ve learned that I am not allowed to play the understudy character in my business and as much as I want to be behind the scenes and succeed, I have to present all of myself in all of the areas of this arena.

I also learned that you cannot attract an audience that you think you want, you’ll always attract an audience that you are reflected in. So use ‘you’ to your advantage.

As a brand , we value three things; The Story. The Culture. The Creative.

They all need the other in order to make an intentional impact in their Industry.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to shout out my unborn daughter; Anora. She is the inspiration behind Anora Edits. She is my ‘why’. I have resolved that, even if production, social media, or marketing is not the path that she would like to take one day, I will pass down every bit of knowledge and wisdom that I have gained over time to ensure that whatever her path to creating legacy and impacting her generation is elevated and maximized.
