Meet Kie Melodic | Music Artist/Songwriter

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kie Melodic and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kie, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My thought process behind becoming a music artist was rooted in my love for music and creating. Beyond that, I’ve always wanted to inspire, help and uplift others , especially young women, to be confident, love themselves, and carry themselves with self respect. I noticed a certain message constantly being pushed through music, and I wanted to offer something different, something more empowering and real. I also hope to encourage people to be unapologetically themselves and not feel the need to fit into a box. That’s why I don’t limit myself to just one genre, I genuinely love exploring all kinds of music and I’m not afraid of how I might be judged or perceived.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What sets me apart as a music artist is my ability to blend genres fearlessly while staying true to my voice. I don’t limit myself creative, I’m genre-fluid with my music and let the emotion of each song guide its sound. One of my latest singles, “Don’t Love Me,” is a bold fusion of pop, rock, and alternative, showcasing a raw and powerful side of my artistry. At the same time, r&b tracks like “Go Crazy Go Stupid,” which is trending in Japan and Brazil, and my EDM-inspired single “Dance,” show how my music resonates across cultures and styles.
What many people don’t know is that I used to struggle with intense social anxiety and stage fright. I dreamed of performing and would sing in private when no one was around, but I was too shy to actually pursue music. It wasn’t until I was in my 20s that I truly began this journey. I prayed to God to deliver me from that fear of doing what I love publicly and give me the strength to chase my dreams with boldness and that prayer changed everything.
The road hasn’t been easy at all breaking into music takes persistence, self-belief, and faith. But every challenge has taught me something valuable. One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is to trust God’s timing and not depend on others to support you, don’t get offended when you lack support from others, get motivated & support yourself more and believe in yourself no matter what. That foundation has kept me grounded and moving forward. I want the world to know that my brand is about being bold, authentic, and limitless despite fear, despite doubt, despite anything.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
One of my favorite places to go in Atlanta is Ponce City Market, I love walking the Beltline and getting a smoothie bowl from Playa Bowls. It’s so relaxing, clears my mind, and always sparks my creativity, especially when I’m feeling stressed. It’s the perfect daytime hang out!
For dinner, we’d absolutely have to go to Pasha in Buckhead it’s honestly my favorite food spot! The food is always so flavorful and the ambiance is beautiful. I love getting dressed up in a cute dress for a night out there. My go to menu items are the salmon and the lamb chops and the side dishes they come with are so delicious!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I definitely want to dedicate my shoutout to my supportive parents and sisters. They’ve always been in my corner, cheering me on and encouraging me every step of the way. Their constant love, belief in me, and emotional support have meant everything throughout my journey. I truly wouldn’t be where I am today without them.
