We had the good fortune of connecting with Khickin and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Khickin, the decisions we make often shape our story in profound ways. What was one of the most difficult decisions you’ve had to make?
The most difficult decision I’ve ever had to make was honestly just deciding to only do the things I find enjoyment in as a career path whether for money or not. I’ve come to the conclusion that if I can’t find satisfaction in what I do for a job, I won’t do it. I have to do the things that enjoy. If I were to be honest, I am still in a place where I need growth, stability and persistence regarding my crafts, jobs, and interests. I am up for the process of doing just that however. It’s hard to be a part of society and take on the venture of starting a business or trying to do your own thing in the regards of making your own money. There’s going to be a lot of difficulties in your way, especially when you don’t have many resources or people that you can trust. When you can continue your journey in a business or in your craft with as much confidence and strength as a lion with no fear seeking its prey, there’s nothing that can stop you. That’s my mindset regarding this journey and the decisions I make in it.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Mostly, I am a photographer at the moment. I also audio engineer and do videos, but from what I want to make as far as art right now, photography is my main focus. I’m most proud of steps I’vs taken to get where I am. I actually really lazy fr lol… but I try, and when I do try, I try my best. Nothing is easy. It’s all a game really. Life is a game you have to try figure out for yourself. You only win if you don’t give up and overcome obstacles. That’s what I’ll continue to do. I think the one thing I’ve learned is to trust God with the outcome, because you never know where He’ll take you. I just want to world to know that Ima always be Khickin, no matter what. It’s in me and it’s on me.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We ‘re eating chicken wings from different spots every day and smoking on the best loud I can find. That’s it. Lol Otherwise, all of the vacation or visiting festivities are up to them. I might take them to one or two spots that you would only see here in Atlanta, like the Georgia aquarium or Six flags over Georgia but besides that, I wouldn’t have anything too much in mind particularly. We’re definitely going to one late night spot or to a RandB night somewhere. Maybe a comedy club. We’re certainly going somewhere at least once for a night outing. Two things I think I will start doing are taking people to see the Braves and go camping. I love baseball and I went camping one time but it was a bad experience. I want to relive that experience and come out better this time lol. As far as baseball goes however, that’s something I want to share with anyone because it’s one of my favorite things. So I will certainly want them to experience that and the Battery at least one time for shits and giggles. 🙂

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I wanna shoutout to first and foremost, God above. I’m always in sticky situations in life but he provides for me. I don’t know why I am in the spot I’m in as far as even being able to make this article. I’m not very accomplished. I’m still on the rise, and the money from my camera and music are still not very existent. However, God is a way maker in every situation. I wanna thank my parents who, regardless of whatever, I can count on and be thankful for. And personally wanna thank myself for taking steps to do exactly what I want to do in life. Gotta thank myself honestly
