We had the good fortune of connecting with kharisma withak and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi kharisma, we’d love to hear more about your end-goal, professionally.
The end goal is too be able to do what I love and take care of my family and live the life I dreamed of . & make memorable moments and music .

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Never in a million years, I would’ve thought I would have been hitting stages around the US, in the studio more than my own home, at different rehearsals, all the things that come with being an artist, I would’ve never thought it would be ME! I started my career when I moved to Tampa,FL. I had enough of ATL, just had my son, I was looking to break free from an old life I didn’t want to live anymore. KHARISMAWITHAK was born. One night in the studio turned into a new life for me. It consumed me, being free in the studio, letting out a lot of emotions I kept in for years and years. It just felt like I had a new identity. Nothing about my life has been easy, but that studio…the biggest blessing I ever received outside of my son. Two things that saved my life. Countless nights of just working and being a mother has never been easy. I feel like I was working so much trying to get to the money and take care of my family after starting over from nothing to my name that I didn’t see where it was all going but every time I made it to the studio or made it home to my son, I knew it was all worth it.

KHARISMAWITHAK wants the world to know that, life is a big b word but if you stand up everytime eventually you won’t fall as hard. Eventually you will hit the ground running. I learned that nobody is coming to save you and all you got is you. You are the foundation to your dreams. If it ain’t in you, don’t worry about it !

My name is KHARISMAWITHAK and I turned myself into a boss. A woman with her own dreams and aspirations. My music speaks for the women who lost sleep trying to get on her feet, for the women who played life harder than what it tried to play them. The words I speak are for the believers. If you want it, go get it.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m from the Eastside so first stop is anything of 20-East. We have wings, seafood, Thai, Italian, etc. Anything you can think of is on the Eastside of ATL. We are a finger licking city, so expect to go night night after plate. Now when night life hours hit, you can find your ATL nights fulfilled with some drinks and food with the hottest ladies of ATL at Blue Flame. After Blue Flame, we are hitting all our favorite hole in the wall places. Rose Bar, Peacock for the island vibes, Gold Room, The Spot. ATL is a time but it aint nothing like the Eastside.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
