We had the good fortune of connecting with Kevin Thompson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kevin, how do you think about risk?
I think risk are decisions based on faith, and if you have high faith in your decisions and yourself, you will get the results you are looking for. It may not happen as quick as you want it to happen, but it will happen. Taking risk and putting fourth the right energy towards goals I wanted to achieve helped me step out of the box and start my business.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I always had a business mindset since I was a child, but I also had a huge interest in music. I wanted to play the piano , drums, and saxophone, but my parents being parents, thought that I was going through phases and didn’t want to put money behind something they think I wouldn’t stick with. Now that I am older I now understand that music would have been something I would have stuck with if I was involved younger.

I am not a skilled musician yet ,but I am taking saxophone lessons. Thats a accomplishment for me because I feel like Im sticking to my passions and not changing. This attitude reflects in my business because when I have short comings I learn from them and hop right back out there.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend came to Atlanta, I would take her out to eat to Poor Calvin’s because thats my favorite restaurant to take people visiting.

Then we will go to a hookah spot, I really don’t have a set spot.

I definitely will take them to stone mountain and do the walk up trail. Its a great view once you reach the top.

Then of-course, I would take them to the high museum, it gives inspiration to anyone.

Im also certain that, somebody will call me and invite me to a fashion/music event and I would take them there because I know some talented people.

I think that should take up the week

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to Shoutout an organization called “The Book Bank Foundation. Founder Dr. Glenn Toby has allowed to me to find myself through his foundation. I was introduced to people from all walks of life. I was granted the opportunity to plan events through the foundation and people show up every-time. It always a different crowd of people, no matter what state you go there are always people in support of The Book Bank Foundation.

The Book Bank Foundation is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to decrease illiteracy through sound and innovative methods that promote learning, social awareness, and individual prosperity.
