We had the good fortune of connecting with Keshia Cannady and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Keshia, what habits do you feel helped you succeed?
The habits that I feel helped me succeed are hard work, dedication, honesty, the genuine support of others, morals, excellent character, and a positive attitude. When you are transparent, have good character traits, and are willing to do the work, not only will you be successful, but others will notice your genuineness and will be ready to work with you. Old school work ethics will always pay off.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Business-wise I am learning by trial and error; something others may be afraid to say. Also, I was doing so many things years ago for people at no cost that I can call for assistance, and without hesitation, they will help me. I have given more than I have taken, and that helps. Nothing in life worth having is easy. The only thing you can do is pray and trust God. I ask Him to lead me along the way every day. My path has been made clear this way and I pray it remains that way. I want the world to know that Keshia Cannady is all about healing and helping, if nothing more. I want everyone to win. No matter what a person wants to do, I want them to be the best and to succeed. The lessons I have learned along the way is that everyone’s values is different.

I want everyone to know that my brand is my baby, and it is growing. We all have to start somewhere and we have to nurture the things we hold dear to us, like a business.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love to cook, so mainly I would have theme nights and wine most of the time. I am an epic host. I love poetry so, Kay’s Cafe on Wednesday would be suitable for a good poetry session. I also could never go wrong with Fellowship on a Saturday night. It is definitely my style and taste.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to dedicate my shoutout to my sons, Jerome, Bernard, and Jaimere. They are my strength and my driving force.
