We had the good fortune of connecting with Kenya Jenkins and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kenya, we’d love for you to start things off by telling us something about your industry that we and others not in the industry might be unaware of?
The one thing people don’t know is that I have 5 kids. And my last child is 7 months! Being that my body is in shape still people wouldn’t even think I have one! But that’s why I’m so into make sure the body is well taking care of, it will take you along way physically and mentally.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I actually had my first child when I was in high school. I was 15, at that time I was on the cheerleading team, track, and dance team! I thought I was gonna have to stop or be done with school but with the support of my family and friends I finished and continued to play sports, that was my LIFE! Years went by I didn’t go to school because I didn’t want to leave my daughter. So I started doing IT. Yes! I also like computers lol that’s also something people don’t know! But I had more kids and it wasn’t enough for me and my kids. I went through ALOT with the kids dad as far as mental abuse. At a point in my life I just got tired. At that time I had to figure out a plan as how I could leave and still be ok and started selling hair. Every Friday me and a few people from my IT job would go to blue flame and I would tell the girls, “I have great hair call me”, and give them my flyer. One day I got a call while I was at work during the week and I went up there to give her the hair, and as I’m sitting there I’m watching and seeing these woman making 1000 in seconds, I’m looking at them, looking at my self and was like I can do this and it will get me out my situation quicker then the hair would! I never would have done it but I was in a tuff spot where I knew I had to get out to do better for mend myself kids. So I started working making progress in my life moved on start doing better keeping myself up and years go by i meet the love of my life, I had another child no stretch marks anything. At that moment I knew my blessing was my body my fitness! I went back to school and now I’m helping ladies get there body right with detoxing and body sculpting! As a woman it feels good to, not only look good but also feel good. Inside and out! My advice to anyone is, never take the little things for granted cause that can be your calling and blessings. Also never give up, we live to learn and grow. No matter what you had to go through it was for a reason but it’s always another journey and a chapter. It may not look good at the beginning but it will git better if you want better. Love yourself no matter what!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

Drinks I like Hide Lounge, Blue Flame will always be my favorite for the Hookahs, Hookah Pat Is the best! Me and my friends is into strip clubs we really don’t do regular clubs because of what’s going on in the world or we will do something with the kids. Kids always come first!
