We had the good fortune of connecting with Kensington Grant and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kensington, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
As a Real Estate Agent, it is my duty to educate and help people build wealth through real estate. Owning a home should be viewed more as a reality than a dream. My goal is to help close the homeownership gap within my community. I want people to know that the journey to homeownership may be challenging, but it is not impossible. Housing is one of the top necessities in life, therefore it is important to me to help as many families as I can to own their own home.
What should our readers know about your business?
I am most excited to see where my business takes me. It took hard work, long days/nights studying, and multiple practice tests to get to where I am today. Being young and owning your own business is scary, but rewarding at the same time. I overcame my challenges with prayers and encouraging words from my support system. My drive and willingness to help anyone with possibly the most expensive purchase some will ever make, is what sets me apart from others. I want the world to know that I am a resource for them to use when they are interested in learning about homeownership. I am here to help people and spread the knowledge and wealth of real estate. Home is where your journey begins.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We love to incorporate food and an activity whenever we go out. For a week long trip, we would do a little bit of everything. One day we would go to brunch at a restaurant we both been wanting to try and then go to a Sip-n-Piant afterwards. Another day we would go to Ponce City Market to grab food and drinks, then enjoy the scenery with a bike ride at The Atlanta Beltline. We normally go with the flow of how we’re feeling that day, so we would have different options to choose from. If we decided to stay inside, we would sip on our favorite wine, find a good movie to watch, and cook us an amazing dinner. Anytime we are together, we always have a great time no matter what we are doing.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to shoutout my family, friends, and mentor for their constant support in my business venture. I would also like to give a special shoutout to my second mom, Diona Wheeler. She played a pivotal role in me making my decision on a career in real estate.
