We had the good fortune of connecting with Kennedi Ferguson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kennedi, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Advancing in life is risky within all aspects of being successful. For the past three years, I have been risking my true happiness of being a full-time entrepreneur in order to gain financial freedom. I would say that being young and taking this risk is going to allow me to have a greater potential of a better reward. I dream of waking up every day just to pack orders and create products for my business, Yummi Skincare. By next year, I will have no debt and enough financial stability to quit my corporate position and invest 100% into my skincare brand.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Yummi Skincare is a company that specializes in organic moisturizing products. Yummi products were not designed to bleach consumers’ skin but help even skin complexation. Parents love Yummi products due to our safe ingredients and amazing results! Our moisturizing products will only include healing products that will not include harmful chemical preservatives. I am currently rebranding Yummi by adding new scents, products, and a better packaging experience.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If a need a day of decompressing, my first stop will be Taco and Tequila in Midtown Atlanta. The food is incredible and the drinks are top-notch. After fulling my belly, I would grab an electric scooter and ride up the street to the Ponce City Market. While at Ponce City Market, you have to grab dessert at Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream. If you are still in the mood for more fun, check out The Roof. You can play mini-golf, skee ball, basketball, etc.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My mother, Melissa Ferguson, you are undoubtedly the greatest role model of all time. Your leadership has made me strive to fulfill my true potential. My heart can’t thank you enough for giving me such a strong foundation and helping me be the independent adult I am today.
