Hi Kemi, how does your business help the community?
Kemistry is a brand about not only making people feel beautiful but also helping people to see the beauty in others inside and out. Its about taking care of and loving the skin you are in. Kemistry is about focusing on your personal care, your self care and beauty.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What sets me apart from other beauty influencers or makeup artists is that my brand is not just about the makeup or how you look on the inside. I founded Kemistry after being in the makeup industry for a couple years working in a studio and building my skill. I wanted a brand that could give more back to the beauty industry. Kemistry means the study of caring for yourself. Specifically it’s about what’s on the inside as well as the outside. I’ve been in the makeup industry as a professional freelance Makeup Artist for a few years now and one important thing I learned is that beauty can be more than skin deep. I want the world to know that Kemistry is a brand where you can feel comfortable expressing your creative self with beautiful makeup looks, while touching physical care of your skin and mental health.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Some of the most fun places I’ve been in the city have been open mics which happen most night in the city throughout the week. I also have a favorite spot in called the Vibrary which offers wine, good vibes, and books to read. I also enjoy visiting the park a few times a week for some fresh air.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
In memory of my mother, she’s the one who really taught me about beauty and the importance of taking care of your skin and health. When I was younger I used to get into her makeup as often as I could, and have been an advocate for the beauty industry since. Kemistry is about owning your own form of self expression with elegance.
