The Hollis Touch is a versatile umbrella company that enables me to channel my creative passions while providing comprehensive services to my clients. Whether it’s hairstyling, including braids and weaves, or assisting job seekers in crafting standout resumes and LinkedIn profiles, and expanding further into professional photography.
What distinguishes me from others in the field is my commitment to personalized service and attention to detail. I’m willing to go the extra mile, including traveling for in-person services, to ensure my clients’ needs are met. Moreover, I take pride in offering affordable pricing, maintaining genuine connections with my clientele, and refusing to compromise on the quality of my work.
My journey to this point has been driven by a realization of my innate talents and a desire to make a positive impact. Recognizing my affinity for helping others, I seized the opportunity to turn my passions into a profitable venture. Prior to extending my services to clients, I dedicated myself to honing my skills, drawing from personal experiences and ensuring excellence in every aspect of my work.
Though the road hasn’t always been easy, I’ve overcome challenges through perseverance and resourcefulness. Seeking feedback, consulting with industry experts, and staying abreast of market trends have been crucial in navigating obstacles and driving continuous improvement.
One of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned along the way is the importance of ongoing growth and innovation. No matter how successful one becomes, there’s always room for enhancement and fresh ideas to explore.
Above all, I want the world to know that The Hollis Touch is more than just a brand—it’s a testament to my passion for service and making a difference. Whether it’s instilling confidence through hairstyling, aiding job seekers in their professional pursuits, or capturing life’s precious moments through photography, I find fulfillment in enriching the lives of others. This brand is here to stay, driven by a genuine desire to uplift and inspire.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I have family and friends scattered across various locations, and let me tell you, Georgia is LIVE! Particularly in “The A,” which serves as the Black Mecca. It’s no challenge to find an amazing atmosphere wherever you turn. During my last visit, I explored Chattahoochee Food Works, a lively food hall, and Your 3rd Spot, an adult game spot. I highly recommend checking out these hot spots.
There are also empowering events that occur quite frequently. You might come across one while driving around or hear about it through word of mouth, but there’s always something happening.
Moreover, there are Black-owned tiny home communities, offering unique living experiences. You will never have a hard time finding Instagram-worthy restaurants serving delicious food. Everywhere you turn, you’ll encounter beautiful people, making the experience truly remarkable.
Fortunately, I’m just a short drive away, so I’m constantly discovering new experiences in the area.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to extend my heartfelt appreciation to several key individuals. Firstly, I owe an immense debt of gratitude to my loved ones – family and friends. Their unwavering support, encouragement, and belief in my vision, from the inception of my business idea to its realization, have been invaluable. In particular, I want to acknowledge the profound influence of my parents, whose steadfast support has been a constant source of inspiration.
Additionally, I am deeply grateful to my organization, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated. Being a part of this esteemed group has provided me with a strong network of like-minded individuals who have offered guidance, mentorship, and camaraderie throughout my career. A lot of my sorors are clients and helped get the word out about my services. Their commitment to service and excellence mirrors the values that drive my own professional endeavors.
