Hi Keishanna, what do you want people to remember about you?
I want my legacy to be one of empowerment and transformation, especially in the beauty industry. I would love to be remembered as someone who built a global beauty franchise that not only provided top-tier products and services but also inspired others to embrace their unique beauty and pursue their dreams. I want people to remember me as someone who created opportunities, uplifted others, and brought a sense of confidence and elegance to everyone who experienced my brand.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My business revolves around the beauty industry, with a focus on creating innovative solutions that make beauty more accessible and empowering. What sets my brand apart is our commitment to quality and the customer experience. I’m working toward owning a global beauty franchise, but along the way, I’ve developed ventures like a beauty vending machine business that allows people to access beauty products on-the-go. I’m proud of how this unique idea is, and I’m excited to see how it brings convenience and luxury together.

Getting to where I am today was not easy. The journey has been full of challenges, from being a single mom, navigating the logistics of launching a business to understanding market demands. One of the biggest hurdles was learning to pivot when things didn’t go as planned. I overcame these obstacles by staying adaptable, continuously learning, and building a network of mentors who could provide guidance.

Some key lessons I’ve learned include the importance of resilience, the value of feedback, and the power of patience. The beauty industry is competitive, but being persistent and listening to the needs of customers has helped me refine my brand.

What I want the world to know about my brand “Glammholic” is that it’s built on passion and a desire to empower individuals through beauty. I believe beauty is not just about appearance—it’s about confidence, self-expression, and embracing individuality. My story is one of perseverance and vision, and I want people to feel that energy in every product or service I offer.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was visiting Atlanta for a week, I’d make sure they experienced a perfect mix of the city’s vibrant culture, history, and food scene. Here’s how I’d plan the week:

Day 1: Arrival & Welcome

• Explore Piedmont Park to soak in the fresh air, and then take a stroll through the Atlanta Botanical Garden to enjoy the beautiful landscapes.
• Dinner at South City Kitchen for some upscale Southern cuisine, where the fried chicken is a must.

Day 2: History & Culture

• Start with a trip to the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historical Park, where we’ll tour his childhood home and the church where he preached.
• Have a late lunch at Paschal’s Restaurant, an iconic spot known for its rich civil rights history and soul food.

Day 3: Fun & Adventure

• Begin with brunch at West Egg Café, where we’ll indulge in their famous pimento cheese grits.
• Spend the day at Ponce City Market – shopping, enjoying the rooftop games, and grabbing some artisanal bites.
• For dinner, hit up Staplehouse, a popular spot offering a chef-driven menu.
• Drinks at SkyLounge for breathtaking views of the Atlanta skyline.

Day 4: Art & Music

• Head over to the High Museum of Art in the morning to take in some contemporary and classical art.
• Have lunch at Krog Street Market, sampling local vendors, and then walk along the BeltLine, checking out the art murals along the way.
• At night, catch some live music at Eddie’s Attic, known for its intimate atmosphere and great performers.

Day 5: Sports & Relaxation

• Grab coffee at Dancing Goats and then head to a Braves game at Truist Park if it’s baseball season.
• After the game, relax at SweetWater Brewery, a local favorite for craft beer.
• End the night with dinner at Gunshow, a unique dining experience where chefs bring dishes directly to your table.

Day 6: Day Trip & Exploration

• Take a day trip to Stone Mountain Park, where we can hike up to see the incredible views of the city or ride the cable car. Afterward, explore the historic village.
• For dinner, head to The Optimist back in the city for some delicious seafood.
• End the evening with cocktails at Ticonderoga Club, known for its craft drinks and eclectic vibe.

Day 7: Last Day & Unwind

• Start the morning at Sun in My Belly, a cozy brunch spot.
• Spend the afternoon exploring the Georgia Aquarium and the World of Coca-Cola, iconic Atlanta attractions.
• For the final dinner, I’d take them to Busy Bee Café for classic Southern comfort food before heading out to Old Lady Gang for a late-night drink and a chance to spot some Real Housewives!

Throughout the week, I’d make sure to introduce them to some of the interesting people I’ve met through my ventures in beauty, showing them the diversity and talent Atlanta has to offer. There’s always something happening in the city, whether it’s live music, a new art installation, or a pop-up market. This itinerary would give my friend a taste of everything that makes Atlanta special—its rich history, vibrant art scene, delicious food, and fun nightlife!
