Meet Keisha Walker | Realtor & Business Professional

We had the good fortune of connecting with Keisha Walker and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Keisha, as a parent, what do you feel is the most meaningful thing you’ve done for them?
I think the most important thing is to reminding my kids that no one owes you anything. In order to be successful you have to take calculated risk and treat all that you come in contact with respect and kindness. Never see color, religion, judge anyone instead be the change this world needs.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am a realtor and also a healthcare professional, What sets me apart from others is that I am a genuine, I’m willing to help anyone, giving heart and outstanding team player. I am most proud of is that I am still here in spite of all I have been through. I am where I am today business wise because I am a people person, look for good in all, good spirited motivator and never willing to settle or give up. Life for me wasn’t easy but after the pain was the purpose. I overcame my challenges through perseverance and determination. My learned lessons I have learned along the way are never judge a book by its cover and never give up. I want the world to know that through all the trials I have been through that I never let life defeat me and I never allowed my pain to dictate my actions towards anyone I come in contact with.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Anyone that visits Atlanta I like show them church, park, and Top Golf. Afterwards we will eat some soul food and go to a poetry show.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to Shoutout to all the women who have been a woman to watch in my life in many ways. My mom, Beverly Thomas, VP, Communication & Public Affairs, Retired and Ingrid Cook, Progressive Insurance. These women have been everything that you need in this life to be successful and have went above and beyond to achieve their dreams.
