We had the good fortune of connecting with Keisha Dean-Merriweather and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Keisha, what do you attribute your success to?
If I had to boil it down to one factor, I’d say that we essentially give our small business clients the same high-caliber marketing playbook that the big global brands use, but packaged in a way that’s practical and affordable.

Working with companies like Google and LinkedIn showed me how important it is to be strategic and data-driven, which helps us get real results. At K. Renee’ Creative Solutions, we don’t abandon that high-level intelligence; we just make it accessible and hyper-focused for our clients.

So, the most important factor is intentional strategy. We always start by doing the homework and understanding the “why” and the numbers, which ensures that every marketing dollar spent by our clients is an investment, not just an expense. Our success comes from helping them cut through the noise and actually drive the revenue growth they’re aiming for.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
That’s a big question, but I love diving into the heart of K. Renee’ Creative Solutions!

Our Core Advantage: Strategic Discipline for Health & Wellness
If I had to pinpoint what gives us our edge, it’s our intentional framework. We believe sophisticated strategy shouldn’t be reserved for the Fortune 500. We take the high-powered, data-driven discipline I used at global companies and apply it directly to our clients.

We’re not a trendy agency that just posts on social media. We serve as a strategic marketing partner for our clients. We ensure that every tactic is part of a calculated, revenue-driving plan, helping them to stop guessing and start marketing with intention.

The Path to Entrepreneurship
Getting here definitely wasn’t easy! While I learned the marketing rules in the corporate world, the true foundation was built by my entire family. Entrepreneurship is simply in my blood. My son, brother, mother, and both of my maternal grandparents have all been business owners. I learned the earliest, most crucial lessons in business—like how to connect with customers and the sheer determination required to succeed—from watching them. That collective family foundation gave me the courage to start my agency.

Switching from a global mindset to earning local trust was the biggest challenge. I overcame that by focusing on genuine service. Early on, I began offering complimentary 30-minute consultation calls. My sole goal was never to sell, but to truly help entrepreneurs identify the very next strategic step they needed to take. That approach—leading with value and prioritizing the success of the business owner—built the relationships and trust that ultimately brought in our first long-term clients.

Pride and the Lessons Learned
What I’m most excited about and proud of is seeing our clients realize they don’t have to feel overwhelmed anymore. We help our clients get clear and confident so they can reach the next level of growth.

The most important lesson I’ve learned is that authenticity is non-negotiable. We draw on our wealth of experience to help the heart and soul of our clients’ businesses get noticed by the right people.

Our Brand Story
What I want the world to know is that we believe every strong community needs strong businesses.

We use our expertise to help our clients build and execute confident marketing plans for reaching their next big goal.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
First things first, we’d dedicate an entire day to the Atlanta BeltLine. We’re talking about getting on the Eastside Trail—scooter, walk, bike, whatever! We’d graze our way from Krog Street Market up to Ponce City Market, enjoying the street art and soaking up the energy. People-watching on that trail is 10/10.

Then, we’d mix in some history, of course. A morning spent at the Martin Luther King, Jr. National Historical Park is absolutely non-negotiable—it’s foundational to understanding Atlanta’s heart. We can hit the Georgia Aquarium right after, because, well, it’s just amazing. And speaking of foundational, you know we have to dedicate time to the legendary Buford Highway. It’s a must for incredible global eats, from authentic pho and Korean BBQ to my personal fav, Roc South Cuisine.

For the rest of the week, we’re balancing the high-end with the hangouts. We’d treat ourselves to a splurge dinner at a place like Gunshow or Lazy Betty for some next-level culinary artistry, or keep it classic with upscale seafood at The Optimist. But we also have to hit the legends: a required stop at Busy Bee Cafe for soul food and a trip to Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q for that essential ATL smoky goodness. We can grab drinks with a panoramic view at the Sun Dial Restaurant bar. I’d wrap up her trip by hitting up Cabbagetown, strolling the beautiful grounds of Oakland Cemetery, and getting a dose of culture at the High Museum.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
That’s such a beautiful question, and honestly, the people who deserve the most credit aren’t folks I worked with in the corporate world—they are the two powerhouse entrepreneurs who truly shaped me: my mother and the incredible legacy of my late maternal grandmother.

I dedicate this shoutout to them both. My mother continues to be my one of my biggest cheerleaders, and my grandmother’s entrepreneurial spirit and lessons drive me every single day. They are the original founders of the spirit behind K. Renee’ Creative Solutions.

They didn’t teach me ‘strategic planning’ from a business book; they taught me grit, resilience, and the absolute importance of customer service through the daily reality of running their own small businesses. That hustle, that deep care for the client—that’s the real magic.

All the strategic know-how I picked up later during my time in the corporate world, but my mother and grandmother gave me the heart and the unwavering drive. I wouldn’t have the foundation or the deep commitment to serving other small business owners in my community without the incredible lessons and love they poured into me. They are my ultimate inspiration.
