We had the good fortune of connecting with Ke Moore and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kei, why did you pursue a creative career?
Creative work is my life-work. This is who I am, and I know no other way to be. I am a creative. I’m an artist, and I’m sensitive about it. I give my life to my work, and I’ll continue to create until my last day on this planet. That’s truly what I was put here to do.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Art doesn’t work in the ways we think it should; art does what it will. My art and creativity is soul deep… I take it wherever I go. That is my full-time job, as well as every thing I choose to have my hand in to live as an artist in this world. The need to create is with me wherever I am, and I will leave a piece of me behind for the world to see. I strive to see my work exist comfortably in the world. When we started the production company, the idea was to create opportunity, not just for me but for others that aim to succeed. I am constantly evolving and working to better my craft. It is not an easy journey, but we do not have to do it alone. Do not give up. I’m always working, planning, and preparing for the next project. My team is growing and thriving every day. Our next project is a feature film, and it’s going to be our best production yet.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love dancing, so my house is always open for dancing and celebrating with friends. It’s been hard through this pandemic, so I’m happy to have my quarantine family. We love to be in nature, biking and skating has been the thing for us. And we love great food with a good cocktail, wine or beer pairing. I live in historic southwest Atlanta, and even with gentrification and fast over-development it’s still a very chill area with new things to discover. When my friends visit, I usually take them on a nice walk. We hit the food truck park, and the side streets that lead to the beltline where local art lives under the bridge leading to local breweries and kombucha. All local, and small business, all the time.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I don’t know where I would be without the support of my family, friends, and my business partner. My family is at the core of my success. They have forever accepted the weird and strange that is me. Same for my friends, we’ve been together since childhood and I consider them my life force. My creative partner is always pushing me to get it done, and I value that. There’s no way I would be where I am, or go where I am going without the support of these people in my life.
