We had the good fortune of connecting with Kaylee Williams and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kaylee, do you have any habits that you feel contribute to your effectiveness?
Consistency is key to success. By consistently dedicating effort towards personal growth and business development, progress becomes inevitable. Additionally, leveraging available resources, whether it’s support from people or tools, amplifies the path to success.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
After graduating college, I embarked on an unexpected path when I created an Instagram account for my puppy, which unexpectedly went viral. This experience opened up opportunities in social media management, allowing me to collaborate with small businesses and brands. However, I realized I wanted to pursue a career related to my Bachelor’s degree in human services. This led me to THRIVE, a family resource center under the nonprofit Advocates for Children.

Despite facing initial setbacks, including unsuccessful job interviews, I persevered by continually applying and demonstrating my commitment to the organization. Eventually, I was offered a position that felt like the perfect fit. This journey taught me resilience and the importance of staying true to my passion.

I want others to know that setbacks are a natural part of the journey, but they often lead to unexpected opportunities. Trust in the process and remain persistent in pursuing your goals, as you’ll eventually find yourself exactly where you’re meant to be.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
To start, we would head to Buckhead and kick off with a lively brunch at The Garden Room, indulging in delicious food and drinks in a vibrant atmosphere. After brunch, we’d make our way to Fetch Dog Park for a dose of furry fun, complete with drinks, dogs, and sports on TV. Next, we’d venture north to downtown Woodstock, exploring the strip filled with shopping, cozy cafes, delicious dining spots, and photo opportunities. As the day transitions into night, we’d cap off our day with some dancing at Pure Rooftop, soaking in the energetic nightlife scene Woodstock has to offer.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I owe much of my success to my unwaveringly supportive family, whose encouragement has been a constant source of strength. Additionally, I’m deeply grateful to Advocates for Children, an organization where I volunteered during college. Their trust in me led to a job opportunity as a family navigator straight out of college. Their mission and vision have not only allowed me to pursue my passion but have also provided invaluable support along the way.
