Hi Kayla, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
I think risk taking is so important! The phrase I prefer to use is “taking a leap of faith.” You wont see millions (if that is your end goal) by being comfortable! I think that the “risk” is what differentiates comfortability and fulfillment. However, I strongly believe in purposeful vision and that requires planning and strategy. I’m grateful that according to my business and brand, this has been extremely successful for me. I apply faith to absolutely everything I do that way God can direct my path and risk taking accordingly!

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Yes, I would love to tell you more about my business! Fully Kaypable started in fall of 2017 as a small idea of mine to help spread positivity and empowerment throughout female, collegiate communities. I was overwhelmed by the amount of negativity and self hate that I noticed circulating in the media and felt the need to contribute a significant difference anyway that I could. I want to be an example for everyone to know they can be exactly who they want and do anything they put their mind to with a healthy attitude and mindset.

With that being said, I started Fully Kaypable with inspirational YouTube videos, on-campus interviews and events, and a motivational group chat to help achieve my brand’s mission. Gratefully, I received incredible feedback that inspired me to take my brand even further. After 4 years of determination, I’ve been able to increase my brand by roughly 19 thousand followers across all platforms, all glory be to God! Most recently this year, I’ve launched the Fully Kaypable Positive Reinforcement Planner that sold out in exactly one month! You can learn more about them and the next launch on my website.

Considering the last 4 years have consisted of building this platform, launching products, completing college, and simply facing life itself; this has NOT been an easy journey. If I must say so myself, it gets very hard and pretty low at times! But it’s rewarding when you keep God first and your eyes on the prize, which is my biggest lesson and exactly what being Kaypable is all about!

I am blessed to say Fullykaypable has now grown into a platform of encouragement for beauty, confidence, faith, and empowerment. I look forward to its future and where it will take me.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well, if you are any friend of mine you know I like to keep it pretty simple. I absolutely love nature and serenity so any fun activity of mine consists of a nice view or sunny day, staycation, shopping, or a glass of wine!

I love the Ponce City Market rooftop in Atlanta, any brunch spot, mall or outlet! I keep my off days simple because my work days are packed enough! If I’m going out at night I like intimate lounges such as Sivas Tavern and Area 4 in Atlanta.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Of courseeee! I have to thank my number one support system, GOD. And of course my supportive friends and family. This road of mine is one less traveled, and in that I prepare myself for the obstacles I know await me. My friends and family give me love and peace, and God truly gives me totality. Because of Him I’m understanding how life works each day and how much his love is all over me! So, through my brand and existence I try to exude the same love through forms of beauty, advice, understanding, and relationship.
