We had the good fortune of connecting with Kayla Lynch and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kayla, what do you attribute your success to?
I think the most important factor behind the success of Patrick Kaymar Photography is not only the motivation to constantly be better but also the support from those around me. I think every successful business owner is always looking for a way to top their last achievement, and the same goes for me. I am always looking for ways to improve myself and my business and be better than before. This drive is greatly helped by my friends and family that are supportive even if the next step seems a little too big. I also owe a lot to my first models and customers who put their trust in me to create art with them. They have stuck by my side for over 5 years and I couldn’t be more thankful for their continued support.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Patrick Kaymar Photography was started by my father as an outlet from everyday work life. It slowly grew into a business built on love and creativity that is accepting of all people. What sets us apart from others is our ability to fit into any photographic situation with ease. We have also built our modeling program around being inclusive for all and not just the people you see in magazines ( that is part of the reason we started printing our own magazines!). We are most proud of the community we have built that supports everyone, we are almost like a second family to each other. It wasn’t easy, especially only having our modeling team for a year when the pandemic hit. We also had the occasional Debby Downer that didn’t support the inclusivity or doubted this as a real job. In the end, we have pushed through and created this company that can tackle any problem while creating amazing art at the same time.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend were visiting Atlanta, GA, we are obviously going to the aquarium. I’ll always be a kid at heart and the aquarium is such an amazing spot to spend a day or two at. As a SCAD student myself, we would have to stop by the fashion museum there. I am always down to support the students and the work there is incredible. If they were visiting me in Savannah, we would have to go out to Spanky’s to eat! Their famous chicken strips and spuds can’t be beat.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There are so many people that deserve the biggest shoutout. Firstly, my parents have always supported my silly little works from the very start. My entire family has always done the most to help me out as well. My original models, Chloe and Rabbani, are a huge part of where we are today with our modeling team and business as a whole. As well, my 2020 team that pushed through the rough patches of the pandemic, Molly, Sarah, Dani, Meriam, Claire, Kaya, Sannitha, Travis, Emma, Colby, and Caio believed in the work and were constantly supporting everything we did at Patrick Kaymar Photography. Thank you all for the constant love and encouragement to keep going.
