Meet Kayla Camper | Mobile Notary Public

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kayla Camper and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kayla, tell us about a book you’ve read and why you like it / what impact it had on you?
I’d recommend Atomic Habits by James Clear to any and everyone! The simple and realistic approach Clear takes to improvement absolutely transformed by mindset towards achieving goals. Before reading, I struggled with making progress. Constantly starting and stopping new journeys, I often felt my efforts were a waste. Everything changed when I began applying what I learned from Atomic Habits.
Instead of making drastic, unrealistic changes, I could start with one small change. A change so small that I’d barely notice, but would slowly and surely push me towards my goal. After so much repetition, that small change becomes a habit, then you can make another change. Although progress starts small, your efforts snowball into huge accomplishments!
Using this approach for my business, Peachy Signings, has been a game changer. There was so much to adjust to in the beginning, and I thought I had to do it all at once. I did not want any opportunities to pass me by. As it turns out, slow and steady wins the race! What’s for you will never miss you, and no matter how saturated an industry is, there’s room for all of us to succeed.
Maintain your focus, execute, and just grind. You’ll be unstoppable.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Efficiency and convenience are what my career is all about. With Peachy Signings, I provide just that by taking the hassle out of getting documents notarized. It’s no coincidence that my slogan is “fast, easy, and just peachy”! I’m proud to create such an experience for my clients, although, it’s not always easy. Being a mobile notary, there is a lot to consider. Due to dealing with law, it’s important to be meticulous and pay close attention to detail. While appointments can be short, there is a lot of preparation that goes into my signings. “Stay ready so you don’t have to get ready” has become my mantra, and it hasn’t failed me yet! I get better with each client and I’m excited to see what I’ll accomplish next.
The notary public industry is truly special, and the freedom I’ve enjoyed from it has me on Cloud 9. I feel empowered everyday and want others to experience this too.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
The belt line is the first stop on the itinerary! The options for food, sights, and activities are endless. There is something for everyone. Atlanta is steadily building more and creating spaces for a fun time. Honestly, we could choose a random area everyday and find great spots in all of them.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I had never heard of a notary public until Andria, my family friend, let me in on this gem of an industry! She explained to me how being a mobile notary eased her through the tough transitions we all experienced in 2020. She could work for herself, set her own schedule, and make great money! Becoming a notary public provided the opportunity of entrepreneurship I had been looking for, and I have Andria to thank for that.
