We had the good fortune of connecting with Kaye and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kaye, we’d love to hear what makes you happy.
Music and Cooking are the things that truly touch my heart to the fullest. Learning new things about food itself and the science behind it; hearing different melodies and the harmonics throughout the work itself, etc. Whether I’m cooking for one person at a time or a thousand doesn’t matter to me. I’ve always felt the most relaxed when I’m in the kitchen. I block out everything but my own environment and before I know it I’m enveloped in a joyous and blissful setting I have yet to find anywhere else.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m extremely proud of the content and work that I produce. I’ve been told on several occasions that I tend to be ” too humble ” and its not an over-exaggeration. I’ve grown out of that shell since then and I’m happy with how far I’ve come in such little time. The only thing that tends to catch people off guard is my age. I’ve been told I’m pretty young despite what I put out. That’s never bothered me in the slightest if anything it pushes me to surpass any boundary set before me.
There were definitely obstacles that I had to overcome and there will most likely be more. My journey into the culinary realm is just getting started and I’m in it for the long run.
I’m only twenty-three (23) by the way.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Everyone that knows me personally knows that I go out every blue moon. Most of the time I’m either reading, cooking or coming up with new ideas/concepts for dishes. Food/Drinks would be catered to as requested by them. Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have my very close friends to thank for their constant support of my career/business but above all else I thank God for everything.
