We had the good fortune of connecting with Katie Belle and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Katie Belle, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
Music has called to me from such a young age, in a way I’ve never imagined anything different. I also reflect back when growing up and I always felt just alitte unconventional.  The ceative spark in way I liked to dress, how I acted for my age, even the way I imagined the world and my future. I feel like I chose music, but I know music also chose me; it’s a mutual agreement and wouldn’t trade it for anything!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?

I’m a local artist from Atlanta (Marietta) and I’ve been involved in music since I was 8. I’ve always had a super deep connection with music in all forms and genres and I think that shows through my art.
I’m still evolving into my own sound and skin as an artist and I find that really an exciting challenge. I’ve been working hard on pushing my limits lyrically and vocally. It has not been an easy journey by any means but still incredibly rewarding. Just the other day I got inducted as a member for the Recording Academy, #Class of 2022, I cried. I feel super grateful to get to share my life through music and slowly climb my way up the ladder, “small steps to success” is one of my mottos!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?

I love this question!!!! Im actually LOVE trying new spots in the city, I’ve lived here my whole life and there’s still so many places I haven’t been. One of my favorite spots is Café Intermezzo, I’m a huge brunch girl, honestly all the food on the menu is amazing and let’s not forget it’s a great “late date night” place as well. We’d start our “tour” there first.

You can’t go wrong taking in a summer time favaorite,  a Braves game! It’s is an absolute must, plus The Battery entertainment district is one of my favorite places to go with friends.

But as far as “night life”,  I love Supply and Demand in Buckhead for dancing.
We’d probably have to take a day off and hit up a rooftop pool like the LOA or Aerial to splash and laugh in the Georgia heat. A favorite of mine to top off the night is a casual Italian spot, Grana! There’re several places to hike and walk not far from the city, Kennesaw Mountain is always a great choice to enjoy the outdoors and get some exercise. I also love the “belt line” for a day of eating, drinking, and walking. Lady Bird is a great stop along the belt line as well as the Pour Taproom and a hidden speak easy called the James Room.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I have to take this moment to thank my mother. That woman has been to musical hell and back with me. So many shows, so many trips to Nashville, surviving my many melt downs, guiding me through mistakes. She’s been by my side through it all! At one point she has even been my manager (not so bad at photography either)! She is my biggest fan and my best girl; I owe her everything. #mom&daughters
