We had the good fortune of connecting with Karisma Ray and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Karisma, what’s your definition for success?
The thing about success is that it looks different for everyone. I personally believe that it is when you achieve satisfaction internally. For me success is freedom. The ability to live the way I want, buy what I want, and give my mother anything she desires. Success to me is also being happy in what you do.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am most proud of taking the leap to turn my blog into a business. The moment I registered my company was the moment more opportunities came my way. I believe that in order to receive what is at the next level. I had to be there in my mind first and prepare for it by moving (to make things legal). I had lots of challenges with trying to figure out how to start my blog. I worked so hard to build a name for myself and spent countless hours on google trying to get advice from experts on what works in the world of blogging and being an influencer. I believe that is what truly sets me apart– the fact that I will out-work anyone and I don’t accept NO for an answer when pursuing my dreams. I’ve learned that you cannot listen to the naysayers who are afraid to follow their own dreams. You have to do whatever is necessary to start your own path to success. My brand represents women living their BEST lives, and I try to embody that each day.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I have an article on the Karisma Ray blog titled “Things to do in Atlanta”. Anything on that list is a YES for me. But first, I would definitely tell them to stay at the Loews or Westin Peachtree Plaza Hotel in Atlanta. Monday- We would find an outdoor festival to attend.
Tuesday- There is a Buckhead bar, Sovereign Sweets that has R&B Tuesdays. I would definitely check it out!
Wednesday- Wine down in the park in East Point
Thursday-Something fun like the Selfie Museum or Trap Museum would be great!
Friday- Indoor Games and take out from my fav seafood spot, Wat’s Crackin’
Saturday- I would probably go to Perimeter mall and then hit up brunch at Toast on Lenox
Sunday-Service online with a big breakfast and dinner (I love to cook)

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Shoutout to ATLANTA. This city has been such a huge part of my life and has inspired me to “dream big”. I have close family here and this was a city I have always wanted to visit and live in. I sometimes can’t believe I’m here and thriving. My uncle Doc came and paved the way so that I could be successful here and I’m so grateful. My hometown neighborhood, Bellville, Crescent,Ga, and family loves me unconditionally and has made me who I am so shoutout to all of them!
