We had the good fortune of connecting with Karima Gordon and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Karima, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My process behind starting my own business will be since I was younger, I always wanted to be my own boss and not work for anybody else. I knew what my vision was and how I want my lifestyle to be and I couldn’t focus on that while working 9 to 5, and coming home being tired and getting up the next day to do it all over again. There were times when I was working both of my jobs and attending school while also working on my own business as my side hustle and once that got tiring, that’s when I knew working for myself was the route I wanted to take.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What sets me apart from others is that I’m creative, and I never wanted to follow the current trend, I’ve always wanted to alive it up some . I always wanted to have my own trend, and be different in my own little world and style. When I create an content, I’m always trying to find new ways to spice up my videos to make them more creative and more eye-catching to others who watch me, and who will be able to relate. The main thing I am excited about is my consistency and working with different brands who have reached out to me to collaborate. I’ve started seeing growth on my platforms, and that made me just want to keep going harder and stronger. It was not that easy at first it was actually stressful, but I’ve always found a way to overcome it. By overcoming it, I just kept on practicing and practicing until I found that it was right for me and for my audience. The lessons I learned along the way, is finding out my niche and knowing when, and what to post to grab attention, so it can be relatable and teachable to others. What I want the world to know about me is that I am very fun, creative and stylish and I’m open to more opportunities and to be in a room with lots of others who want to win.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My favorite spot would be Atlantic Station. I love this place because they have a variety of things to do out there for events . They have tons shopping stores , lots of restaurants , places such as the movies and bowling alleys and for the holidays they always set it up really nice. I love art work so they have little tents where people where draw up paintings or alrwasy have ready to purchase portraits, ira a great large space to walk around with your friends family or spouse and network with others out there.
